I think when Stella kept the MGI franchise that the whole country (and Filipino candidates in MGI) wanted her to drop this toxic pageant in the late 2010's really hurt the BBP brand 🙈🙈🙈 When she finally dropped the MGI franchise, it was already too late

That's what happens when you base the value of the pageant on holding MU franchise. Notice how pageants like Miss France and Miss South Africa have their own identity and would probably stand on its own feet if MUO decides to pull their license.

SB19 is already gracing the pageant night so viewership is not a problem. The other aspects can always be improved.

My opinion here is that the people who were part of this prestigious pageant be it a candidate, a sponsor, a benefactor and maybe it's own Committee/ officers has a vested interest of taking over and steal the ideas of BPCI, they were ungrateful to Madam Stella Araneta and even its previous title holder of BPCI got the support from the opponent. Crab Mentality still prevails in the character of a Filipino and I'm not proud of it. To the BPCI more power to your organization and Long Live to the Beauty Queen you will produce that will represent the Philippines in the world stage even if it's one crown remaining. MABUHAY ang BPCI!!!

Hola Luis , como estas ? in my opinion Binibining Pilipinas already prove lot of winners from main international pageant, and other beauty organizations they haven’t prove anything only small pageant sometimes other garbage pageant ,it will not push through because of lack of funds ,, you’re correct the Bb organizations have deep pockets and they own lots of big companies listed in the Stock Market (PSE) that can support the whole pageantry up to the finish line and their presentation of the pageant are very professional , well I hope those those international pageant owners will be awaken to go back to the Bb organizations and from other local pageant owners, I notice after you won the title you don’t have offers and most Bb contestants landed as commercial models and winners have always the edge because of the business connections they already have in time of the memorial, just an observation thank you 🙏 and Wishing you millions of followers

@@watch3039 maraming naging orgnizers ng mga pageants before bpci pero wala pwedeng talagang pwede makapagsabi na sila ba ang first National Pageant. most of the organizers then either no longer exist or they etentities na hindi naman talaga pageant ang focus .case in point Gema Cruz Araneta is non BPCI queen. she won the Miss Philippines title organized by the city of Manila . may mga nakalaban din siya from other provinces .Kung may title man ang Binibining Pilipinas that is Oldest Active Pageant organizer sa Asia and Pacific. nasa Linya ang Miss France at Miss Ameriac and BPCI when it comes to age.

I only saw a handful who fit to wear the MWP crown but not the MW crown. Some are also lacking in height... this is just my opinion.and observation.

Bb. Pilipinas is still a pageant to look up to.. Because they do not go to one sided candidates. Anyone can win wether you are from a certain beauty camp. Unlike the Miss Universe Philippines, you will surely win if you are from Aces and Queens or Mercator talent.

its sad that they lost a lot of franchises (minus miss grand, mgi's principles doesn't align with bbp anyways) and i hope that they'd be able to get supra and cosmo franchises. it's fine that international is bbp's main crown as long as there would be more crowns.

It's still really off for me that the two winners will compete in different years. I just hope they'll appoint a Miss Globe Philippines for this year and let the 2 winners of the 60th edition to compete next year as well as to extend their reign, until they compete internationally. That's just my opinion

IMO the long wait for the BBP winner to compete in MI is MI’s fault. BBP crowned Hannah Arnold in 2021 thinking that MI would also have a pageant the same year, only for them to postpone their pageant for another year. At the time Hannah would compete, she has already crowned Nicole Borromeo. So it seems like moving forward, BBP would just follow the Miss Venezuela route: anyone who wins will compete internationally the following year.

I wish they could at least get the Supranational franchise back and let MUPh hold the universe franchise alone. I miss the group reign of the Bbp. co-queens and think that org handles the press and events surrounding all the winning titleholders better whilst MUph only focuses on the MU titleholder alone (understandably). I enjoy the Bbp. production regardless and will still support them

BPCI is the oldest and most prestigious beauty pageant in the Philippines. It is second to none. It has produced 4 Miss U and 5 Miss I and multiple runnersup. This record will always stand. Binibining Pilipas is Binibining Pilipinas. Let MUPh stand alone. It has become very evident that Miss Universe is now a full-blown money-making machine. As I see it, eventually, it will become evident to the international pageant owners/organizers that being part of BBP's crown roster is not a downgrade but a privilege.

You’re not alone na nalito sa mga bagong national pageants dito sa bansa. Yung kuya ko na straight, nalito rin siya kung bakit may BBP pa kung meron nang Miss Universe PH. I had to explain pa na humiwalay na ang MU at MW sa BBP.

In Southeast Asia, MU is priority, bbp was no.1 because of it. Pageants like Miss India, Miss SA, Miss France will still be relevant after holding no franchise for international pageant

They're losing viewership because they no longer have more than two crowns to run for. They were popular because of the excitement full of suspense and anxiety who will wear the CROWNS. They had more than one crown but no longer.

With franchises leaving, I think bbp is establishing its brand more. They are no longer dependent on titles. They are strengthening their own brand.

SIXTY YEARS in pageantry is a tough feat ! No need to be the favorite of pageant vloggers/media. BBPCI is an institution, strong enough to endure the test of time.

The Binibining Pilipinas has for years operated like a mall outlet of beauty pageants. If previously it has MU, MW and MI as anchor stores, and a few smaller outlets, it now has only MI side-by-side eith a low-tier pageant MG. However, MI despite its perfunctory attempt at brand-building last year, is still a trade mark, popular but not yet a distinct brand. Alongside with MG, Binibining Pilipinas can be depicted as a mall with no anchor store, just outlets for some known trade names. For years it had regaled itself with the idea of "the most prestigious beauty search" but it has never built a compelling institutional brand around that idea. Now that the anchor stores have all moved out, the challenge now is developing an institutional brand personality to support its business vision and mission. As of now, it is simply a house of trade names with no customer engagement till next selection year comes. A recipe for extinction? Hope not.

If they acquire Miss World then they are still on top. Remember Binibining Pilipinas 2022? the calibre of girls who joined were far more superior than MUPh that even the likes of CJ opiaza didn’t make the first cut. If MW or even Supra will go back to Binibinin then it will have more attention.

I think what's makes international pageant let go BBP is because they wanted a national pageant with the same name like Miss Universe Philippines, Miss World Philippines and Binibini didn't do that. Nawat is also very vocal that if given a chance he doesn't want to leave BBP, he wants a separate pageant under the BBP organization.

For me it's a LEGEND. Look at the other pageant in the Philippines. Especially Miss UNIVERSE Philippines.so so boring.😭😭 This year also was so boring. And they have the licence of most of the cheap pageants. And ,MISS UNIVERSE THAILAND IS BACK ,SO I HOPE YOU WATCH SOME OF THEIR EVENTS THAT THEY ALREADY HAD, ESPECIALLY IN TERMS OF PRESENTATION MUPH Needs to learn some lessons from them

I think Supra, MGI and Intercon are dying in terms of spotlight in Ph pageantrt since they left bbp

after MU franchise parted ways to culminate their own pageantry, BBP is gradually losing its spark... Miss International is not even that heavy compared to MU or MW, although MI is still a major crown but we notice BP has nothing to anticipate about winning thier crown

Miss grand is making the contestants like a clowns

The main relevance of any pageant is the franchise it holds. BBP holds an uninteresting Miss International franchise that most people cannot relate to. Their winners, even the Filipina winners, made hardly an impact. A lot of people still talk about PIA and Catriona but when did anybody ever talk about the last Filipina who won Ms International? See? I couldn’t even remember her name.

Melanie Marquez and Kylie Versoza is the most relevant queens MI Filipina winners At the time Precious Quigaman is active in showbiz she was very popular. MI Queens is not known as speakers that's why people didn't expect them to talk about certain issues unlike MU winners.

To me yes it’s slowly fading. The continuous rise of MUPH is the fall of Bb. I feel MUPH took a lot from Bb. When MUPH started, it was Miss Universe exclusive (only miss universe) but then recently they have like 5 crowns and some from Bb I’m sure... ❤️🇵🇭

The issue is not the price but the organization wants. They want a stand alone pageant. Lets say they bought the MU franchise higher than Empire PH offer. They will lose the franchise again due to its wants to be a stand alone pageant.

I remember Stella Marquez-Araneta did not want Pia Wurtzbach to wear a Filipino dress made by Albert Andrada but instead wear a Colombian dress as per previous years 👗🙈 Pia had to beg Stella for her to wear Albert Andrada's dress and Stella's husband had to step in to let Pia wear a Filipino-made dress 🇵🇭

I'm guessing Stella tried to persuade Cat to wear a non-Filipino dress too in Miss Universe 2018 😒 So the jig was up. The "chiefs" then started working to buy the MU franchise in the Philippines so that it is 100% Filipino 🇵🇭
