It's the grammys. I just don't understand why anyone cares about grammy results, it's just a bunch of out-of-touch Hollywood voters showing how out-of-touch they are. It shouldn't be taken seriously at all as a way to determine the quality of music.

Yup, it's still a great album. Especially seeing B in concert and hearing all of these again, Renaissance (& Lemonade) still stands as my favorite Beyoncé album.

It’s a legit fantastic record. Of course it still slaps.

It deserved at least a decent 9. HEATED and PURE/HONEY are the core of the ballroom influence on the album but he didn't get it 🙄

whenever i listen to it on a playlist i have to add at least the next 2 tracks to queue, it makes for a better album but it's also a really smart move in the "increasing stream count" way (at least if there are others that do the same thing haha)

Lemonade is a 9/10.. possibly a 10/10 for me. Renaissance is my second fab bey album tho, like an 8/10

It's quite unfortunate such an amazing album had the worst rollout on Bey's career. No promo, no visuals, nothing...

Way better than lemonade imo. Lemonade tried out some things, and for the most part it works great, but there were a couple missteps, like Sorry and Daddy’s Lessons. Whereas Renaissance is just perfection. Renaissance is a top 3 album of all time for me

The album is great I just hate the single choices she never does great with picking the singles

her concert was so good bro she performs the songs just as good as they are on the album

@103.5Heavener there is one (kinda barely) skip on the whole album, needed me. that's also only because its the only track that isn't timeless on the record. all the other songs sound great and have aged really well.

y'all aren't smart and do not understand music. beyoncé has proved to us many many MANY times that she can make phenomenal music without any samples. she can even make authentic traditional or 'old-school' music without samples (we all know love on top). the whole point of renaissance WAS to sample. look up the meaning of the word renaissance. she revisited old songs and old genres and cleverly adapted them in a modern context.

That's been the usual lately for plenty of artists, including even rappers like Ye and Travis. However, like Anthony said, this has been one of the cases were it felt like the names were there for a reason and they played a role on it. Plus, Beyonce is famous for crediting every person that helps, even if it's just adding a snare 5 seconds before the music end.

y'all still don't know how sample credits work in 2023? girl 20 people did not write on the song, even if they did who cares because lyrically, alien superstar is immaculate and top 5 in her entire discography for lyricism 😭 beyoncé choosing to collaborate with intelligent musicians, songwriters, producers etc shouldn't be a problem...

Plus Beyoncé noted that EACH song is supposed to exceed 5 minutes long but it isn't supposed to and she has to trim it down. Imagine if it's untrimmed. 21 songwriters is completely NORMAL if it means a perfect pop song.
