Regarding having to log in into both accounts to play with Badlion, I would say it is to guarantee safety for your cosmetics that you have on your account. (And security for staff as well) However, I respect the opinion anyways.

I think the issue with Badlion's font is that it looks too... default. But, it definitely has improved since last year with a few things that Lunar doesn't include. Being able to move the menu around is definitely unique, and you can't forget replay.

Badlion client is still my favourite client and will always be. It was the first client i used and seeing the logo always brings back memories of the badlion server. I miss the days where i kept getting destroyed in builduhc every time i queued.

The transparency on the glasses is actually a Lunar feature, vanilla 1.8.9 doesn't have skin transparency but newer versions do, Lunar just re-adds it to 1.8.9

Yeah, the transparency for skins in earlier versions of minecraft is bugged. I made a skin for use in 1.18 and then used it in 1.8.9 and it was nasty lookin

I think the only reasons badlion still lives is bacause of the Replay mod, the cosmetic variations and the skyblock mods. If Lunar introduces more variable cosmetics and replay mod, as well as working skyblock mods, they will be the n.1 Minecraft client (period). But the introduction of feather client seems to be very threatening to Badlion as well.

5:04 This is actually default Minecraft, and not a problem with Badlion. 1.7 and 1.8 don't have the translucency feature that newer versions of Minecraft have (it was added sometime in 1.9, I think). Lunar backported this feature in Patch Notes #15, which was nice of Lunar to do. Since most people use Lunar, they probably never even noticed that this was a Lunar-specific feature lol TL;DR badlion just didn't backport a feature lunar did

@@SentientKnives Maybe you need to update it? Also, the translucency feature is only on your skin's second layer (otherwise, you could have a see-through skin and a permanent invisibility effect is kinda cheaty lol)

letting you know intel, oofmod is a mod that allows a sound when you kill a player, and in some versions of the oofmod, you can customize it

As someone from the community who has stuck to using both Badlion and Lunar only for the past several years, it would be really neat if I could finally look into another new client. I would really like it if you could review feather client soon. I remember quite a while ago, club client was a client that was going to be released, I still have no idea whether it's in production or not, but it really doesn't look like any other major clients are coming out any time soon.

I have feather client. At the moment it’s in beta so you have to pay and it’s a bit buggy, but the simple fact that you can add your own mods is great, especially for people who play games like skyblock. I must say though there are quite a few bugs in the custom menus, launching and for some reason my chunks render ultra slowly even with fast render on, but then again it IS in beta so. Personally, I wouldnt recommend getting it until it comes out for free unless you absolutely NEED custom mods.

Long time lunar client user, just tried badlion after years and now I prefer badlion. I genuinely prefer the badlion text and I can use it in hud modules. Most of the issues you mentioned will affect you once then never again, and the client just has worked nicely for me, and the extra mods can be useful for some players. It also has much more game versions supported.

As a former Badlion user, I think that even though Badlion has a horrible reputation, it's amazing for how it works with low end devices. Of course, if you had a better device, you would use Lunar or even the new Feather Client This is why clients like Badlion can never be outdated because there's always a quantity of people that have low end pc's

I 100% agree with this.. Back then when I was using a garbage laptop with garbage specs it boosted my FPS, and I had no issues with it.. But now with a better laptop I use Lunar.

@@mamood1783 in my experience badlion vs lunars fps changes from machine to machine. For some low end pcs lunar is better, for others badlion is better.

The first client I used was badlion and next was lunar and I’m interested in trying out feather client as well! Great vid

Been thinking about BLC and Feather a lot in terms of clients. I think BLC has improved a LOT, but I dont think theyre ever going to be back on top soon. From the looks of it, Feather is potentially better than LC, however Feather has almost no chance because of how well LC has made itself. btw, the BLC font looks wrong to you probably because it sticks out too much from mc in itself. Lunar client is kinda the same but Lunars graphics make up for it and its barely noticeable. As for clients that would be cool to see you review, Feather Client is litteraly the only one that feels like its trying to aim for lunars spot, so a comparision would be cool (and, if you can, a comparision between pvp lounge and feather). I think it would also be cool if you made a video like this one but for Labymod

as for reviewing feather client: I think it would be pretty neat if you reviewed it, but I would also like you to cover some of the controversies like allegedly spoofing the fps, using mods without the creators permission, and violating a fair few of the mods licenses

Idk if anybody else experienced this but when using lunar client, I get these random disconnections which I never have with Badlion client but then I kinda have to use Badlion because lunar then just randomly stopped working and now I have to resort to Badlion client. I hope you understand my opinion on the 2 clients and I would be a lunar user if I auctually could.

I want to use Lunar but the problem is that my laptop is pretty low end so Lunar just hangs and stops working on my laptop if i render chunks on different servers or 15 mins after I play which made me resort to salwyrr client as badlion is not boosting fps even after countless optimizations.

Excellent video, the only thing you maybe could have mentioned is, when you talked about how lunar client is the most used client, that it depends for each community, for example, most players in the german community use badlion, in the french community, it's pretty much equal between the two. I ofc understand why you didn't mention that, because you and most people who watch your videos, including myself, are in the us/english speaking community so we know who you are talking about.

I used to love using lunar, but one day my fps on lunar dropped drastically after the recent update, also, motion blur did NOT work at all, but it seems that it only happened to me and I have no idea on how to fix it. On the other hand, badlion was giving me decent fps and somewhat motion blur, so I had to resort to using badlion until I actually find a way to fix this problem.

I think you have to have "fast render" on the performance tab on video settings off for motion blur to work. It makes your game look soo much smoother. Also make sure you're using vbos, unlimit your frames and maybe if necessary set graphics to fast. If you need more help, you can add me on discord cuz im sure it's something that can get fixed.

@@Abstractperson well for me it runs very smoothly with fast redner off, and I have a core i5 with integrated graphics with like 8gb of ram. Resetting video settings is not at all recommended and switching versions? I'm pretty sure LC runs the better with 1.8.9 and 1.7

You probably have Fast Render enabled. Go to the pause menu -> Video Settings -> Performance -> disable Fast Render.

@@dermor_ no I’m saying fast render will make ur FPS better so will not resetting video settings and when u switch from 1.8 to 1.18 it drops your FPS when you are switching back and forth

@@Abstractperson no one’s been talking about switching versions, and even if we were it’s not that bc I played 1.18 an hour ago my 1.8 version is gonna run badly

I think badlion is quite good for lower end pcs, like i use a i3-1115g4, 4gb ram and intergrated graphics. In badlion i get 120 fps+ whereas in lunar i get 70 fps, i think this is so as lunar looks nicer but i takes more ram up in return. Hopefully this shows the good side of badlion :)

You can try lazy chunk loading for LC. Both on the performance tab of the video settings on the minecraft settings, or the option on the lunar client menu itself. If you need more assistance you can replay. I honestly don't like badlion bc I get 100fps with it, but with lunar I can get 250+ stable.

you should make a feather client review i would love to see you try it. Plus it should be an easier type of content to film since you only have to go through the settings and the performance like you did in this video :)

I remember I wanted to switch to badlion a while ago bc of replay mod, but everytime i recorded, the clips were at 5FPS 💀💀

This is my opinion, but I find it hard to trust ANYONE when they review a competing brand to the brand they are partnered with, it just does not feel right, other then that, I do agree with most of what you have to say, but I will still use badlion for skyblock.

it will be good to review feather i have been using it since the beta started the only problems i have are 1- my game randomly freezes (doesnt happen alot tho and never happened to me in fights) 2- the armor status mod doesnt show the armor durability 3- auto gg mod some times decides to die 4- i dont see fire when i get set on fire (also if your chunks are loading slowly you can turn that off from the feather performance menu) other than these problems i get more fps than lunar and the client is great

my face when almost all the code is stolen , it breaks 99% of the mods used licenses , litterally uses sk1er's levelhead database , breaks 50% of forge mods and is a shittier labymod?

For #4, somewhere in the client there is a fire hieght changer. It's normally set to like 0.5 but if you change it to 1 you should be good (I've never actually tested it I kinda just saw it in the settings then forgot about it). #3, you can disable the feather client autoGG and add your own like the one from sk1er. Same with #2.

I'm surprised you didn't mention that Badlion has a new crates feature that tries to create incentives for users to play, because it rewards them daily when they play.

I used to use it for the fps boost, but ever since lunar came around with double the fps badlion use to give, I switched over to lunar

Badlion has a fast array of Skyblock mods and many people use blc just for those mods. Blc Is the little ground between forge for Skyblock and lunar for pvp. It's not the best for either but it's good for both. Badlion is ingestion a large portion of their time and effort into Skyblock mods whereas lunar is not

Intel, you should also review Salwyrr Client, its also an amazing fps boost client i used it for 6 months but its very underrated

The font is used in almost everything. it's one of those default fonts used in softwares that aren't aesthetically pleasing in 9/10 scenarios, and if you get given this font in an editing software (video/image) you would usually instantly change it to something more aesthetically pleasing.

The thing with Badlion is the fact that it dosen't have alot of settings for your video settings ..... Plus its really bad for people with low end Pc like me its very laggy, and i hope u can maybe in the next video use feather client i want to see ur reaction and how u dislike or like abt it Intel Edits.

a rebrand for the badlion logo would be really good for them bc it might also help them distance themselves from their past controversies

Besides the account thing, my only other issue was the little ad I got when I started the game. It was advertising a hosting thing i think, nothing random or spammy or anything. Then i got another one later on as a notification on the bottom left even though i had closed the app like 6 hours ago. You can turn that off, but the fact it's even there is kind of stupid. don't really care for aesthetics aslong as it does what I want it to do. This is my first time diving into pvp clients in like 2 years, kind of took a break from pvp

i think it would be pretty interesting for you to look at feather client seeing as i havent tried it myself

Honestly, my inital reasons for switching and staying on badlion were really just exclusive to having more overall and consistent fps, personally more visually appealing, better customization, pvp fixes, ghost lava fixes, and easier of use. but now I'm just staying on the client for the same reason as you do, there's just no reason to switch to a client that isn't as good for me and it's just unnecessary.

I think why the single player menu looks completely different from multiplayer probably because the code doesn't allow anyone to change the menu normally or else you'll probably have to change the whole game version.

also badlion messes up texture for my packs. usually the sword texture. it cuts off part of it, making high res textures look 2d/flat

i have heard good things about lunar client but the biggest factor of why i use badlion is mainly bc lunar client switches my sensitivity. i do not know why, but everytime i try to switch from badlion to lunar WITH THE SAME SENS, the horizontal and vertical sens becomes all jumbled, whereas on badlion it feels balanced like in newer versions of mc (1.19, etc)

When i first started getting into Minecraft pvp I tried to get badlion client but for some reason whenever I tried to make a badlion account it would never let me make it because it always asked me to log in when I tried to make an account

The font isnt the problem its the spacing.
