Siri is a chatbot. ChatGPT is based on transformer deep neural network. So completely different technology.

I hope I'm not the only one who realised that the voice-over is an AI voice.
No they aren't behind, instead they are still creating a subscription service for Siri, and after which they will relaunch it.
The problem with it is that 1)it requires data; public data from the internet, to train its models. 2)WWDC IS JUST AROUND ITS CORNER. 3) Apple has its ecosystem to think about it, along with the user’s “privacy”

It is rumoured that Apple is working on AI chip designs. If it is true, then Apple is going for hardware. Software AI companies are going to come and go, but chip making will be first and last to gain.

Toyota are being realistic as their is not much infrastructure to push all their vehicles to EV. So they are providing hybrid now plug in hybrid and solar roof powered Prius as well. Toyota have one EV model and they are working on solid state battery technology which can extend the range to 1000Km or more. on the contrary apple has done nothing and they are doing nothing. Apple is lagging behind as we can compare android S24 series phone capabilities to iPhone 15. Even apple is not willing to offer a better display on base model iphone coming with 60Hz display. Apple ios predictive word is slow and terrible compared to even Android low price phones.
49% Open AI is owned by Microsoft and OpenAI powers Bing. I don't see that deal happening.
