Wow. Thanks for this review! I was looking at these, and was thinking maybe these are similar to the amscope. I’ve used many with my electronics work and it looks to be the same quality. This is awesome though! I’m considering one for myself. They come with a lot more attachments that you are required to buy yourself. Thanks again.

Mate thanks again for another great video and some excellent advice. So it is now January, 2024 and I took the plunge and purchased an Eakins trinocular from their Aliexpress store. There was no branding printed on the 'scope. In almost a year the price has dropped quite a bit. I bought the white version and this time there were options for including a camera (I took note of what you said about that in your video). I picked the 48mp 2K camera with remote control that looks identical to yours, and a TF card was included. All up with DHL fast shipping to Sydney (only 3 days from Hong Kong) it cost me A$745 including camera and GST.

Wow - that's an absolute bargain, I paid a lot more than that - well done!

I purchased a AmScope and I can say it is manufactured in the same factory. The only difference between amscope and these "knock-offs" is branding and quality control. But if you go with a knock-off it will be 99% the same, same optics, same shell same everything. AmScope is more expensive and I only went with it is because the shipping was cheaper.

I purchased the AMScope and am very happy I did. I am not willing to gamble with Ali on such a major purchase. I received 10x and 20x eye pieces, two different Barlow lenses and an 18mp camera for about $700 US shipped. This camera looks almost identical to the AMScope and is probably from the same factory, but again we now how easy clones are made in China. Thanks for the review.

Fantastic! Glad you like your microscope. The main thing is to get the right one for you. If this was 2011 when the Aussie Dollar was worth USD1.10 the decision would have been much easier for me!

Shipping sounds like a big expense for you. It was $75(iirc). However, the scope take watch work to whole new level. It was a bit of a learning curve to get use to but I never use any thing other than my scope for watch work. Once you get the hang of you’ll wonder what took so long.

If you look underneath the Price is Magnification (black or white) and then Colour which shows which camera you are getting. Remember that auto translation from Chinese to English, particularly on diagrams where positioning matters, is not perfect, so Magnification = Colour, Colour = Camera, etc. It's all there, you just have to work it out.

How is it holding up? have you had any issues since this video? Would you buy again?

Hi, Please could you tell me what the distance is from the eye piece to the bench top, I need to know if the scope will be too high when I sit at my bench?

At the moment I have the 0.5 Barlow lens and the 20x eyepeices. In that configuration it is 48cm from the highest part of the eyepeice to the benchtop. Good Luck!

@@yesterdayschild1418 I get 14cm at max zoom, 19cm when zoomed out. This is why the 0.5 Barlow lens is essential. There would just be not enough space without it.
