As an XUV 700 owner, I can say it depends on where you are using ADAS. If you are in the city where you don't know from which side a vehicle will come and overtake you. Sometimes, the automatic braking is also too agressive. Also, when you are changing the lanes, the lane keep assist is troublesome, the whole steering tends to vibrate and it's hard to change the lanes. It's just the opposite on a smooth highway.

There is no such issue in creta adas… just try it and you will love it…even it works perfectly in city.. even warning sounds never annoyed me…since 2 months i am driving creta dct rurbo variant and adas works flawlessly.. i never switched off any of the adas fetures even in traffic or highway or hilly areas…infact during test drive for xuv 700 and mg hector i found adas not that user friendly as compared to creta adas….

Guys, i am using this same creta 2024 since 25 Feb and trust me all these features are really beneficial... If someone says ADAS is not for India then he has never used the functions.. I have seriously avoided accidents from rear while going back

I have purchased creta 2024 turbo dct variant… ADAS too good to have… working well.. i drove 2500 km on highway and hill (mussorie) as well… on highway you can easily relax by setting cruise on with adaptive breaks… you can easily change setting when needed… also it gives you mileage approx 15 in dct… 3-5 times it applied break front and back which was accurately applied when needed… very user friendly….

I am using venue, adas level 1 . It is really very useful. No disturbance no tension. It helped me in times from probable collision. Vehicles which don't use indicator, brake light.

Tbh the only useful features of ADAS are Rear Parking Sensor and Warning for full use, Lane Keep Assist and Lane Departure Warning and Smart Cruise Control for Expressway's. Forward Collision Alert is also useful. However it is best advised to disable brake immitigation system.

I have MG Hector ADAS and it is really helpful on Long Drives. If roads are good, all you have to do is just keep your one hand on steering and one leg on brakes and relax and let the car drive. The only problem is ADAS do not work well with Speed Breakers, so that is why Brakes are needed, else it works really well. even 800+km drive doesn't feel tiring at all. ofc inside the city traffic, it is useless, as our city roads are not at all well managed.

Are you sure about the ADAS Level1/2 definitions?

3:45 I think lane change assist system should help by steering back in the lane not by braking. I live in Surat and there are some roads which are wide but also moderate/heavy traffic is there. So when the car hits brakes we can save the collision from side but what about rear?

It does only if you step out of a lane without indicator. With indicator it won’t. And brake will apply with your indicator on and you changing your lane.

If I have to choose only one between the ADAS and the Airbag, I would like to go with the ADAS because prevents collision and keeps the car also safe. No need of complete dependence of Airbags.

completely absurd choice. If you are going normally on highway and due to some reason opposite traffic jumps the divider and collides with you OR someone rams you exactly at 90 degrees OR someone bangs you from the rear no ADAS can save your life but an airbag can. ADAS just helps with braking, it won't magically absorb the impact or teleport the car. It's not always your own fault that can be the reason for accident, INDIA is filled with wrong lane drivers and what not.

@malaypanchani agree. The ADAS can't help much in rainy or foggy weather, because it is a radar and camera-based system. But still, if a car company offers me a car with only 2 airbags I will choose ADAS 2. In my opinion, we must consider 6 or at least 4 airbags.

You will miss adaptive cruise control

The Frontal collision braking in city can be a nightmare. Almost got tailgated 2 times. This s not suitable for a place like india. Also smart cruise control is useful in places were people followed lanes and speed limits. Used lot in uk expressways but india i feel its such a pain.

Safety is important. So people it doesn’t matter if you like it or not. This will be standard across all cars.

Will the ADAS features selection persist with a restart? Or will it go back to the default setting after the car restarts? The car dealer told me that you need to change the setting everytime you restart the car.

No ADAS in my venue so varient,yet I drive perfectly fine ..I don't need a computer telling me when to apply brakes or when to change lanes..If anyone needs it ,he / she shouldn't be driving at all..Is ADAS safe for India? absolutely! but only if the car companies makes it clear that ADAS is not a self driving technology..Most people mistake it for self driving technology , nothing like having full control over your vehicle.. It's a good to have feature,not necessarily a must have one .

That’s because smart cruise control is only available for automatic transmissions.

What if there a speedy truck coming from behind and the circumtances happen that your emergency brakes are applied due to a number of reasons. Its going to cause huge trouble.

ADAS will brake for you - only if there is something to brake for - which you as a human will. Like we have said in the video openly, Forward collision braking is something that is the most sensitive feature - and you always have the option to keep it off always.

Lot of L Boards in Indian Cities nowadays... We need ADAS level 100 for them...
