I landed the limited edition and I am thoroughly enjoying it. Ended up giving my ps5 to my son for his birthday.

Just got my 1TB deck today. The device is so convenient. Even if it can't run taxing games. I can just remote play them on my steam deck at max graphics.

Yesterday I ordered the 1TB oled can’t wait til I have my hands on it

Just got the Oled in the mail yesterday

Battery life and Windows on an over-spec'd portable device is exactly why PC handhelds have always been bad Valve knows what they're doing

Had the lcd deck and I loved it. Sold it to buy the oled but never got around to it. Been contemplating since cause I don’t want to end up buying one and then out of nowhere valve announce the deck 2.

Get it. You won't regret it. Worth every fucking dime. You get the most insane screen, more storage, better battery life + a few more FPS. Deck 2 may be a few years away.

I thought the same then realised that SD2 will not be here before Q4 2025 at the very least!

I had an LCD and sold it! Needed the money at the time but man, I regret selling it! I was thinking of the buying the OLED now but is it really worth double the price of a used LCD nowadays?

I found a used OLED 1tb for €500. Might pull the trigger on that.

i love my LCD steam deck , theres no point in buying a new one even tho its not much of a upgrade

i own a 6950xt gaming pc (very powerful, 4k graphics high settings) and i own a steamdeck LCD and sometimes i have the feeling that i would not need that pc.... because the steamdeck "looks good enough" in many cases... i knew the steamdeck existed, but i never looked it up bcs i didnt thought it would interest me, but i saw randomly very good prices in the used market and somehow it draw my attention :o the more i read about it the more i got curious, i bout a lcd version with upgraded ssd (1tb), like new, with case, loading unit, screen protector for 350 euros and i was blown away seeing games like fallout 4 running on it... or witcher 3... these are full grown pc titles big open worlds with acceptable graphics!!! i always thought "why dont they put windows on smartphones nowadays bcs the power is huge (fallout 3 would not be a problem really) but this: this is miles better... bigger screen, good controller settings, no adapter stuff ...and it just works the ergonomy is great and the input lag is okay really... its only a bit bothering in titles where it matters alot... for example: i play rocket league on high ranks (champion 3)... im really sensitive in this game... i feel it alot even if its just a tiny bit difference in input lag but in other games (i did tests with my gaming pc and my 5ms ips screen in "fastest" mode), and it was reaaaally hard to get the difference in input lag... its also really game dependent... witcher 3 dx12 version, the new version, has massive input lag on 30 fps, but the old version has none of it... borderlands the pre sequel - even on 30 fps - perfect input - its not bothering its crazy to me that i can have a gaming pc in my palms... acceptable runtimes on battery... and i can use it like a console... im a windows user... no experience in linux but you can switch to linux OS and basically have a pc... i installed brave from their linux workshop and it worked like a charm... websites load fast, no waiting time, videos load fast, everything felt very smooth and not slow at all... it was snappy, maybe not as snappy as my big pc, but the difference are minor i dont know if i should get the steamdeck oled... i kinda want it but um not using it as much... im mostly at home except for the weekend... i love this device but i already have a strong pc here 😅and im not playing on the go because i hate not beeing comftorble, not beeing by myself and gaming - it just doesnt make sense... (atleast in the bus its ugly, no pleasant seats, everything moving and everything loud) i would maybe use it more if i would spend more time at friends... but the vermieter of my friend said f.u because i bezieh bürgergeld -.-

I'm not sure why people compare the steam deck to current gen consoles. When the PSP came out noone was asking for more power because it was way weaker than the PS3. It was understood that the PSP had amazing graphics for a portable at the time. You're getting PS4 console quality in a handheld with the steam deck.

The ps5 remote play on steam deck is amazing. I'm playing more ps5 on steam deck than on tv.

I want one even though I have the LCD haha

the Oled Steam Deck is just perfect right now, if Valve will make new Deck I really hope they will keep the design and again just make the screen bigger like with Oled, the size and the controller layout is perfect and no other handheld can't even compare, that's my thoughts and only thing I want to see upgraded in the future are specs + 120hz or maybe even 144hz in the future for less demanding games because I really like fast paced games personally and I enjoy high refresh rate a lot

It works up to 90fps on the Steam Deck. Runs very well.

Last time I checked, SteamOS was based off Arch Linux, which is a PC OS. So yeah, you should be able to mod Skyrim

No not really they have a brighter screen and more memory that’s about it honestly just turn the brightness up on your base model or download a brightness enhancing app and well it’s no different

Melted microSD card readers and customer support that outright lies about what was broken and tries to hold your device hostage if you refuse to pay them. Oh, and 45 minutes of battery life if you actually try to make use of the added power. If you still want one after that, you do you, but no way in hell I'd get that instead of a Deck.
