Is a MATHS DEGREE the right fit for you?! misconceptions & stereotypes
Mathematics is a powerful and pervasive language for describing, analysing, and making sense of the world around us. However, pursuing a degree in Mathematics might sound like a tough challenge. Throughout this video, I want to talk you through the most common misconceptions and stereotypes about mathematicians and Maths students, while also answering some of the most frequently asked questions that prospective maths students might have.
What I want you to remember is that even if you don’t know exactly where you’re heading to, you’re not maths-obsessed, you don’t consider yourself a genius, or don’t fit a particular stereotype, there is a place for you in maths. 🌟

Yes, I definitely felt the same way! Thank you!! :)
Thank you I really need to hear this right now.
Vicky Neale is such an amazing lecturer
And what about those who are bad at math and decide to go for it nevertheless? Why is there a need for approval? A career plan is contraproductive. No plan works out and it shouldn't.What do you know when you start studying?Hopefully nothing. Otherwise you stick to a plan when there are better options available.
this video meant a lot, thank you!

Thank you for your contribution to us considering pursuing math! I could not make out what you said in 06:32. You said "Embrace the ***** mindset". What is the term you used to describe the growth mindset? Kind regards.
