That's an intriguing failure. At around 4:57 the teeth you pointed at have about a third of their area stripped indicating that the teeth do not mate all the way across, that would be a pretty fundamental design flaw.

I have the same irwin pliers and my experience is the same as yours, with light use the teeth took a shit. I agree in this case the extra cost of knipex 100% makes sense. That design with the teeth on the side doesnt seem to hold up well. By the way i recently purchased the wiha 32948 insulated linesman pliers, and I am in love with them, but I am just a DIY who enjoys nice tools, would you be willing to test any of the wiha pliers at your job? Id love to see how they hold up in real world conditions with daily use. Also keep it up man, your reviews are the best, the guys that just show me a brand new tool, doesn't tell me shit. However seeing a bad ass maintenance mechanic beating the shit out of something and it holding up makes me feel way more confident in my purchases.

Many of the modern Irwin tools are being made in China and they must have a little better quality control and manufacturing specs because all the ones I’ve bought have held up quite well I am a retired Woodworker and I do almost all my own plumbing , electrical ,and mechanical work and repairs myself so I keep and use a wide assortment of tools and do prefer higher quality as a general rule as I want mine to last for many years of service

Do you know that the Irwin pliers are supposed to close without pressing the button? It’s an auto adjust feature so comparing these to the pliers wrench isn’t an apples to apples comparison. Don’t get me wrong I love my Knipex comfort grip 7.25” pliers wrenchs, but to me it looks like you don’t know about the Irwin’s auto adjust feature on these pliers. The Irwin V-jaw pliers don’t have the auto adjust feature on them & that’s probably why you would think these were supposed to behave the same way. & I don’t think Knipex has made an auto adjust pliers wrench yet, they have cobras that auto adjust but that’s it I believe.

Simultaneously good and the SUPER -WEIRDEST tool / tools (pun intended) video I have ever seen. Never seen a banana and ?Kiwi? s incorporated in a hand tool video. It seems way to coincidental that at 3:15 a banana appears (strangely) out of no where into close range and shortly after a Kiwi is shoved into close range view until being united with a 2nd Kiwi in a phallic configuration at 4:11 and left on screen for the rest of the video. Later at 8:04 (when banana and Kiwis are disrupted) you claim you just "bruised your banana" and make sure they are back in a perfect phallic shape. Did you use the banana because you were fresh out of egg plant??? Either you are A) just plain bizarre B) trying to increase viewership through subliminal messaging OR (for whatever strange reason) C) doing your "tool" review innocently among 3 pieces of fruit that you like to keep really organized. If "C" is your answer, you might want to STRONGLY consider seeing a therapist. Either way, (in my opinion) there is one to many "tool" s in this video... OK review, but VERY freakin weird video in my book... jus sayin!
