Irv Gotti On BIG, Diddy, Jay-Z, Nas Beefs, YSL Case, New Artists & Supreme Team Film | Drink Champs
Музыка
#IrvGotti opens up about his relationships with hip hop legends like Jay-Z, Nas, DMX, and The Notorious B.I.G during this revealing #DrinkChamps interview. He takes us back to his early days coming up in Queens, founding Murder Inc. Records, and working with artists like Ja Rule and Ashanti. Irv shares stories about navigating hip hop beefs, his friendships with moguls like Diddy and Jay-Z turning sour, and the Federal investigation that eventually led to Murder Inc's demise. Looking forward, he discusses his plans for a new record label focused on hot new talent and upcoming projects like a film about the Supreme Team with Leonardo DiCaprio attached. This is a must-watch for anyone wanting to go deeper into Gotti's epic career as one of the culture's most successful executives and hitmakers.

At -40:18 when Gotti speaks about how Nas "ran for the hills" when he suggested that Murder Inc hit Baltimore in Bentelys and Ferraris I'm reminded of the wisdom Nas once shared in one of his most slept on records. Nas was too woke for young Irv. But since I tasted paper it started losin' the friendships/ Watchin' kids freeze in winters, they still poor/ How could I tease them with Benzes and feel no remorse?/ Drivin' past them in the lively fashion, diamond colors clashin'/ Red stones, blue stones, red bones and black ones/ Nas - Every Ghetto (Stillmatic)
