You tried to make a good video with careful collection of facts but let me tell you few more hard facts directly from the horse's mouth . .the IRS income tax never arrests the offenders directly but the IRS customs does it so frequently and in the customs preventive wing they act more or less like police officers .in my career alone I have arrested more than two dozen offenders and I dont recall anyone being arrested by income tax deptt . .also the infrastructure in customs and Gst is way better at least in the six cities I worked in and the manpower at the disposal of senior officers is very high compared to income tax.income tax officers never get subordinate staffs to assist them and they work more or less without any change or variety whereas customs and GST is far more varied than even the IPS. SOMETIMES YOU ARE A POLICE OFFICER ,SOMETIMES A TAX SLEUTH AND WHEN YOU GO ABROAD IN COIN POSTING YOU ACT LIKE THE IFS OFFICERS so it is a combo of all services .as far promotions ,in group A level ,the customs cadre is at least two years ahead .and during the 1990s ,it was next only to the IAS in preference and my batch topper had 35 th rank and all our batch closed above the IPS in rank ,most of the officers here have preferred not to join the IPS and in many cases even the IFS and in one case even the IAS .before independence the IMPERIAL CUSTOMS SERVICE USED TO BE AN ELITE SERVICE A LA THE ICS .after the GST implementation and the drive to arrest the fake invoice fraudsters ,this cadre has become even more visible and powerful while the income tax officers say that they are sulking because of the faceless thing which has taken away all their powers the IRS CUSTOMS is much more decentralized and there much fewer commissioners per state compared to income tax for example in Mumbai alone there are close to 250 to 300 commissioners and about 40 chief commissioners of income tax ..so all in all , IRS customs is a far better career and much varied service with far more real powers and job challenge .it’s better than becoming an IAS in most of the states barring a few feudal states .for example in Kerala and Bengal ,the IAS is as good or bad as any other service .now with the creation of microscopic tiny districts in many states ,the IAS is becoming essentially a rural service devoid of any sign of urban life for at least first 16 years of their career .worse extreme political interference seldom allows them to work like what we see in movies and channels like DIVYAKEERTI who are selling fantasies to the aspirants only to gain more and more enrollments .among all the civil services the IRS CUSTOMS AND GST is the best though people know much less about its hidden advantages.

In brief, in these states, local lobbies are very strong due to local level political parties in power and if you are not a native of these states, you might not be given much importance

Commissioner top ka officer ni hota IPS mein. Aur SP 7-9 saal mein ni, training ke 2-3 saal baad bnta h bhaia.

@@upscstinger SP waala point rarest of the rare case mein fail hota h na ki rarest of the rare cases mein follow hota h. Ap ye sochiye, select hone ke baad 25 mahine(aprox 2 saal) tak training chalti hai jisme IPS ko 3 mahine ke liye SHO ke taur pe cadre mein bheja jaata h. Uske baad jab wo after training join krta h toh DSP join krta h. Lagbhag 4 police stations hote hain uske paas. Fir ek saal mein wo ASP ( Additional Suprintendent of Police) bnta h. Ye dono(DSP aur ASP) 2-3 saal mein poore ho jaate hain. Rule toh keval 2 yrs ka hai lekin firbhi 3 tak lag jaata h. Bhtt bhtt rare cases mein 4. Firto SP bnna he hai. Aur aapne kaha ki Commissioner top most rank hai Police ki. Bhaia top most rank Police ki Director of Intellegence Bureau (DIB) hai. State mein top most rank DGP hai. DGP rank ka commissioner keval Delhi mein hai. Hyderabad ke Police Commissioner ADG rank ke thy aur DGP rank pe promote ho gye tab bhi Commissioner hain wahan ke cz unka karyakaal bhtt accha raha hai wahan pe. Familiar hain Hyderabad se. Mumbai Police Commissionerat hmesha ADG rank ka hota h bhtt mushkil se kabhhi DGP rank ka hua h. Pune Police Commissioner IGP rank ka hai. Karim Nagar DIG rank. Kai jagah pe commissioner SP rank tak ke hain. Pata nahi kahan se aapne ye keh diya ki Police ki top rank commissioner hai. Shri Nand Kumar Singh ji ko mai bhi follow krta hun saath mein aur bhi bhtt se police officers ko follow krta hun. Abto kai baar State Home Secretary bhi IPS hota hai. Ye trend badh raha hai.

Sorry bro - for making an SP to 9 years it should be 5/6 years + Video clearly indicate ki commissioner = DIG :16:40 ownward (But local people think ki commissioner sabsa bada hota h - Get the feel bro - Iss video me bhi same baat repeat h) + DIB is absolutely higher than DGP but i believe in reality (Cabinet secretary is highest post but max. retire from Secretary - few got C.Sec.). Politicians - IAS - IPS ka nexus aur tussle par to webseries ban sakti h but our first priority should be clearing UPSC. (Thanks for reminding the disclaimer thing) + best wishes for upcoming exam.
