As we don't know who the elect are the gospel is preached within hearing Of all hoping the good seed Responds I was saved before I heard the Gospel preached I believed in God but not in Jesus until I came to the light Jn3v21 Then I began to read the bible And increased in knowledge!

No, you were not saved at all before you heard the gospel preached, because it is the gospel that saves. By the foolishness of preaching, it pleased God to save those that believe. You have to hear the gospel, by it being preached, to be saved. Romans 1:16 King James Version For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 1 Corinthians 1 KJB 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

@@angloaust1575 Do you believe a person is saved by believing, and do you think they can lose their salvation after they have believed?

Calvinists claim monogism and boy they harp on it , but at the same time they say that they're commanded to preach the gospel to everyone regardless if they're so-called elect or not so they'll hear the gospel and come to spiritual life . How is that the monogism that they carry on about if they're helping GOD by preaching the gospel ? CHRIST has offered salvation to EVERY CREATURE in the whole world through the preaching of the gospel but one has to believe and GOD isn't going to believe for us like Calvinists claim with their irresistible grace and the rest of their blasphemous claims .

I appreciate this series on Calvinism, I've learned much though I had a pretty good grasp of the theories as taught by RC Sproul. As much as I like RC I've never embraced Calvinism. Except, Irresistible Grace I believe this is the only point in the TULIP I can embrace. I guess I'm a "One Point" Calvinist. 🙂

RC has a little tendency to quote Calvin, Luther, and Augustine when he agrees with them. When they all three turn on him, he just overlooks it.

See the problem is each point is ultimately the same point stated from a different vantage point. It’s all the same thing. God picks/ it’s all determined: T: Man can’t come U: Gods picks a few L: He only paid for the ones He picked I: you can’t say no to His picking you P: You will persevere, because it’s not you it’s God persevering through you.

Unfortunately, irresistible Grace is another Calvinist rebrand. They love to make their non-biblical tenants sound sweet instead of the bitter poison they are. Grace by its very definition cannot be irresistible, that’s foolishness.
