There isn’t a single Lionel video that doesn’t inspire me. #nolimits
I feel like your mood is a lot better after the TriBattle. Seem to be much happier with yourself and your progress and competitive level. Win or lose.

Bro was in the zone at the end talking about listening to external voices - GET EM LIONEL!!!! 🔥
Lionel has a great sense of humour, sadly missed by quite a few of the viewers; thinking specifically of the Cam Wurf gag and the absolute classic Windsor road sign story from a few years ago! 😉😉
Watched this over breakfast dreading a 2hr treadmill session. Now I'm off to fkn work! #nolimits

Hell yes!! Let’s get back to what made you a killer athlete. Boom, you just gave me that killer instinct back in my training to finish out the season.
Excited for all these races!! You got this
Huge man! Loved to hear you, keep that mindset #nolimits
When you watch blumenfeld, you See its not about hard Training its about smart Training ,consistency and a professionell Team around you!
It was comforting to hear that Lionel has the same swimming difficulties that I have. Hand entry depth, rotation on non breathing side, etc. I’m no where near his level but it was good hearing that.

ya unless you grew up swimming a lot of people have difficulties learning to swim really well when they are older
Love you videos, Lionel. Always inspiring
You're an inspiration and such an open book. Thanks for the tips on swimming as I too have to work hard on this discipline. I tried pushing my head further under the water and rolling more side to side in my session yesterdat and it seemed to help.. Thanks and good luck for this weekend!!
I know you don’t read the comments but man I’m glad to see this video. These og training videos in the cave are the best. And you’re back to that gritty lionel. Love it
This is great, Talbot your filming has gotten so much better in the last year and a half. Great job!

I saw this video after the Collins Cup Opening Ceremony and you are going to run against Sebastian, it's like a prediction... Looking forward to watching that race... Good luck Lionel! 💯
Keep it up, "You Be You". Good luck with everything
Finally, new video! :)
Cant wait to share the start line with you at Copenhagen! Such an honor.

Classic Cam!! Love it..
As a fan, I love the LS content dropping every 7-14 days, and I can’t wait for the next one to drop. I would be disappointed if a new vid wasn’t dropped for 30 days or more….but what if that is what it takes for LS to gain that last bit of focus that puts him at the top in Kona? The racing schedule is too busy this year….but if LS decided next year that he goes totally social dark and an update only drops through a member of his team….then I am all for it.
I was supposed to be racing Copenhagen but no longer can due to covid travel restrictions, extra gutted I cant go now, would have loved to cheer you on! As always thanks for your openness, go get it 🦾
Great video and so motivating! Wish you all the best and go hard to win these races ;)
Great initial beat... it sets the right the mood, smash those races Lionel
You're videos are getting better, just like you are. With you.
Lionels mindset is so damn motivating. Man I want to go for a long run!
Great video. Mix of footage and music intensity is cool
Love the musics. You inspire bro.
Great content - keep it coming 🔥🔥🔥
Love the return to the old mentality 💪🏾
that hiphop track in the first montage is ripping talbot! great job
The Norwegians are all several years younger and doing insane volume and tons and tons of testing to make sure they are appropriately responding to the load.
Great stuff Lionel!
You got it Lionel: it's the social media exposure that has been messing up with your mind. Get off, focus on your amazing inner strength, and you will be back, stronger than before. Go LIONEL !!
Go, Go, Go Lionel, We will be cheering for you in Copenhagen! No limits!
Yazz!! Now that’s more like it!! Beast mode 💪 🚀
might come to Copenhagen and cheer for you guys! wish you the best of luck!
Almost 4 hours or 3 hours and 50 minutes on the bike trainer so high level incredible good effort
This is passion…. Greetings from Japan/ Germany…. 🙏🏻⛩🥷⚔️🇯🇵
Man,Fuck those negative comments from people!!!! You are a beast!By far my favorite pro triathlete ever(right up there with Crowe, macca,Jan).Keep crushing it because you have inspired me to step up my training and I am a 49 year old average guy.
14:53 Lets GO! Very motivating, Mental Strength 💪. Hope you finish Finish Strong and Finish How You Want! Keep it up 🤙
Don't worry about other things you can't control (other people too)..make the most of what you have..I think you are doing great..no matter the results, as long as the process is right, it's all fine..keep it up and thank you!
GO ON LIONEL ! U got this buddy
Yeah !! Heavy , like the intro
amen to the last bit brother. do u man, do u
My coach is like that 😂. You'll rock it and inspire me
You got this Lionel, go out there and crush it!
BOM 💣💣💣 the old Lionel is back. The hunter
Love it!
💪💪let’s go Lionel!
great video! Great Athlete!
So excited for all these races coming up! But you gotta race Jan (and Sam) in the Collins Cup!!! Having all 3 #1s going head-to-head-to-head would be great for the sport!

The catch is between winning the CC and giving the best show. If I were a CC coach, my strategy wouldn't be to put my #1 up again the other #1s, but that would then decrease the athlete participation in the future. Catch 22 ish.
That intro song created the best possible vibe for this video
Lionel must have some trainers in rotation.... 💪💪👌
Go hard, NO LIMITS
THAT INTRO IS 🔥🎬
love this! I'm training to eventually do the iron man but first build up to it with marathons and duathlon. Lionel if you read this could you do a video about heartrate? in the tri-battle yours was so low? i was wondering if there is a certain training to get a lower HR ? would be nice to see a professional opinion.

Hi Nikolaj, Lionel has a lower than average and maximum heart rate, I believe it has to do with him having a larger than average sized heart. It's mentioned occasionally in some past episodes on this channel. I'm not a doctor or exercise physiologist but I believe max and avg HR is personalized and varies from person to person. Good luck in your training! 👍💪
Coach is happy with amount of races that are coming :p
Go get em bro!!!! 👊
Great improvements on the swim!!! At least all the theory is there!
Gauntlet thrown! I honestly think the biggest mistakes you made were so close to tasting the Kona win and instead of just a couple tweaks, you turned every single training knob you could get your hands on. I feel like you haven't stopped doing that for 4 years. In 2021 it definitely seems like you've gotten a bit closer with the two things you should have initially focused on - swimming and race nutrition - but I'm excited to see a back to basics Lionel with those small deltas in-hand!
dude you're such a monster on the bike it's bananas
Lionel, as someone who grew up swimming and swam d1. You really have a lot of room for improvement in your technique. You don’t have to be gifted with the extreme mobility of an Olympic level swimmer such as floppy ankles (which imo hinders your run) to be where you want to be. There’s a lot of room for improvement which you should look forward to. I believe you can be unstoppable!

I’m curious that if Lionel were to do wind-tunnel testing and training like Jan does, would he become noticeably faster on the bike? During the Tri Battle, Jan was putting out less power but was more aero so Lionel didn’t gain any time on him.

Also dont forget the importance of being able to ride fast. Jan picked up big time in corners and riding smooth. Lionel is rubbish at riding a bike outdoors fast

He proved multiple times over and over again on his channel the problem might not just be wind-tunnel testing or any other thing (flexibility, swimming, nutrition, etc.), but his overall personality - apart from a camera man, he seems not to have any professional team behind him, is again without coach, no training partners. I think he is a great guy and has inspired more people than anyone due to his openness but does he want to be the best in Ironman or be in the business of motivating people?

Lionel you rock
I wouldn‘t compare the feeling after St george with the Tri battle, because in terms of intensity maybe St george was much harder, but the absolute time racing in the Tribattle was almost double comparing with a 70.3…. Keep on going! Good luck!
legend
Dude, your goggle is so cool. Can it be recordings, like a video or something?
Will be interesting to see how this turns out
Why did you change your shoes during the run? So was there some editing?
Looking forward to seeing the living legend in action in Kona.
Go on man
dude is shredded SHEESH
This guy is a beast at cycling
Don't take media and critics to serious, u are a pro find ur way and make it happen
Okay that was the funniest opening ever. 😁😂😁
Sander's is back baby!!!!!
Inspiring af… whats the BGM in the beginning pls ??
Hey Lionel, massive longtime fan and don't want to be too much of another armchair expert but I haven't seen you acknowledge the aerodynamic gains that Jan had in the Tri Battle that you could incorporate into your own IMs. It seems your focus is on further increasing bike power now rather than efficiency. Frodeno biked 305w to your 312w and went 5 minutes faster. Free speed
Did you change shoes mid run?
Boy he stole my workout! Fan going, check. Laptop open all day, check. Talking aplenty, check. Ok, I don't have it with the biking and running bit, but otherwise this is my day exactly!
Was that 2 different run workouts? - different singlet, different shoes?
Lmao at 1:05 Lionel looked to be bobbing his head to the music while indoor cycling
The whirlpool scene reminds me of a Western hero in the saloon, who makes a final announcement to all in the world: I will show you all how strong I am. What I see is a lot of anger. Anger to push even harder. The challenger has to motivate himself. For sure it's a further very interesting point of development in this great career. It will be very interesting to see, how it goes on.
