Iron Man was and remains one of the most iconic characters in the MCU, which raises the question of why Iron Man 4 never happened. Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark kick-started the MCU and was the only hero to star in two solo movies before The Avengers (2012) wrapped up the MCU phase 1. RDJ later headlined Iron Man 3 (2013) in phase 2, but a fourth movie never surfaced despite Tony remaining a central figure in the franchise for another six years until his death in Avengers: Endgame (2019).
It seems as if the idea was at least entertained, as negotiations were reportedly happening around the release of Iron Man 3. RDJ, Kevin Feige, or anyone else at Marvel Studios has never given an official reason why Iron Man 4 didn't happen. However, looking at the circumstances around Robert Downey Jr., Iron Man, and the wider MCU provides some reasonable insight into why Iron Man 4 didn't work out.

@@user-dz1rc4wk2t sometimes. I will say this one was well done and very convincing. The only issue I have with fan made, is the disappointment that it’s not real. For example, I’m a huge Knights of the Old Republic fan and I’ve seen fan made live action movie trailer with Keanu Reeves as Revan. That’s something I’m dying to see. Love the trailer but crushed that it’s not real. I find it annoying but I still encourage people to keep making them cause it could trigger the real thing.

I thought no way and he would not say that after learning what she did to get him back but would be impressed still and just before he can rip unto her about what she had done and how unethical it was, Thanos or some great threat would pop up and he can’t back out and his new life won’t be undone because he personally gets swept up in this great threat somehow.

I’ve never been a Thor fan but I enjoyed Toby McQuire’s first two Spider-Man films. Ironman was raunchy in parts put all three films were good as a whole as long as you don’t make Stark your moral mentor. Now Pepper Potts…she was morally solid as a rock.

Totally agree. Marvel is failing due to them writing so many of the original cast out. If they wanted to go down other super hero routes they should have run it alongside avengers.. but when they just cut all the main cast people went cold turkey 😂😂
