a cover is not really supposed to be an exact copy. it's something re-created with your own spin on it. it does not have to be the same genre. like postmodernjukebox and AV Undercover. that's what makes it so memorable.

When Alanis released this song in 1996 I was in my freshman year of college and it was great to hear it in your voice!!! Beautiful video, wonderful vocals, great arrangement!!! You guys knocked it out of the park!!! Love y'all from the very bottom of my heart!!! 🥰

Thank you for taking me back to 1996 and my mid 20s. Feb 1996, when the song was released, was when I met, and starting dating, my wife. We married in late 1997, and celebrate 25 years of marriage next months :) Interestingly, Audra is roughly the same age as Alanis, when Alanis recorded this song.

Such a good cover. Audra's voice sounds so good. I love when you do the videos on the outside, it always end up looking so beautiful💕💕💕

I get what you’re saying. As subtle as the differences may be, the biggest thing for me was the difference between AM’s and Audra’s voice. It took the song from something I could barely tolerate to something I don’t mind listening to. I believe you don’t have to take a song and flip it on it’s lid for it to be a good cover. Just a difference of opinions I guess.

I believe Alanis' style is just perfect for Audra. So much "low profile technique" in which both are really top class.

Listening to this back-to-back with the original, the best way I can describe the difference between them is as follows: This one feels more intimate and personal. More organic mixing and warm tone to the instruments and the singer really adds to it.
