sadly something's really off with nicko's playing this year... Missing drum fills, crashes, beats, hilariously slow tempos etc.... I get he's old but he himself said that when he can't do it anymore he'll stop and not hold the band back... It's pretty sad.. normal tempos would help Bruce as well as more speechy fast vocals are easier than trying to project all the time in slow tempos...

@ippopaidi
Жыл бұрын
@@rayzerd77 I don't know.. I hope he's ok, he deserves to have a happy healthy life, drumming or not.. But I think that he shouldn't push himself or go out touring knowing he won't be able to do it like he has before.. The same goes for the rest of the guys. They've all been saying that they won't become a parody of themselves and stop if they aren't able to perform in high standards.. and so far that' s exactly what Nicko's been doing (and Bruce to an extend).. I also noticed that there's no drum cam footage of him on the big screens at the concerts, and people say he left the stage in prague as soon as the gig ended, while previously he was the last one to leave.. Also on the legacy tour in 2022 the tempos were already becoming slower in songs like "revelations" "aces" "fear" "trooper" etc.. But this year there are also constant mistakes, missing drum fills and beats etc.. Sure hope it's only an age thing, that he'll come to terms with and gracefully bow out with his dignity intact..

I must say that I am actually quite fed up with people talking crap about Nicko and his playing and what he changed here and there.... Guys are you drummers in your 70-ies? I mean come on.... Drums are physically most demanding instrument, more so in this genre.... Instead of being happy that they are playing songs we did not hear them play for 35+ years you complain that he did not play that fill or did not hit the crash there.... Time unfortunately is not on anyones side.... Enjoy them playing while you can and stop complaining....

Yesterday’s the past, tomorrow’s the future, but today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present. - Bil Keane
Awesome, im glad they are back on the road and i think everything sounds fantastic. These guys are in there late 60s and still going strong thank god they are. I can't wait to see them when rhey bring this tour to the Americas. Everyone in the band is sounding great and in top notch. Bruce sounds wonderful. And, Regardless of what some are saying, i personally think Nicko is playing fine. This song was created at a very fast tempo when he was younger and he still carries the beat phenomenally in this day in age.🤟😔🤟 Up the Irons!
The ICONIC moment in time we've all been waiting for !! PHENOMENAL, OUTSTANDING, SPECTACULAR, no words are great enough to describe this, there are no words great enough !! Iron Maiden is in a league of their own, comparable to none !!

sadly something's really off with nicko's playing this year...

@@ippopaidi 100% Huge difference in Nicko's drumming. I'm not sure if he's in the best of health? I saw them on the legacy tour twice and his drumming was excellent, but sadly age, maybe health catching up with him?
@ippopaidi

Yeah but if all other parts of the band sound pretty much peak form, all eyes turn to the drums - yes he is a fantastic drummer, especially noting the age and difficulty of the set, but at time it just sounds that he is struggling quite a bit and skipping parts

I'm more than happy listening those songs live after 37 years but they should have this setlist 10 years ago. Nicko can't handle the fast parts anymore. Have you ever heard to the originak drums of Caught Somewhere In Time? He was double kicking with one leg during the whole song, any other drummer wouldn't even dare to play this pattern withour a second kick. He can't play like this anymore, age has taken its toll.
