Same here, my friend. This was the first song in my life that literally changed it. Turned it around 180 degrees. Without it, I'd miss so much great music, so many concerts, so many friendships... Blaze was/still is/always has been a magnificent vocalist. He only takes shit because he's always being held up to the incomparable Bruce Dickinson. Much love and respect to the amazing and timeless Blaze Bailey, the most underrated singer in all of classic heavy metal. Long may he reign! Up the Irons, mateys!

@@andyb1653 He takes shit because he doesn't have the same range as Bruce and had to sing ten years worth of material written for Bruce. Saw them live with Blaze and he was great. Seen them with Bruce and that was also great. I've also seen Paul on a small club tour where he mainly played songs from Maiden's first two albums and that was great too. :)

This is the live version with Blaze Bayley (included in the B-side of the single Virus), not the studio version with Bruce Dickinson.

+Giorgio Caio e Sempronio Nah... As a hc Maiden fan I knew instinctively it wasn't Bruce who sang here. Blaze did okay here but Bruce was better. The ONLY song I dig from Blaze was Man on The Edge. The rest... meh... which was why the X-Factor was the last album I bought :(

monsters of rock 96 with blaze bailey, goosebumps on the sign of the cross. best show i ever went to...getting old..but not too old to headbang for iron maiden. UP THE IRONS. Blaze Bailey deserves credit and respect. the guy passed trough a lot of personal matters and suffered a terrible lost. a good man and a decent singer.

Some stuff I used to like are just stupid now and other things are getting my appreciation more. - That's what happens when you grow up or mature, I guess.

The whole world should have a sit down and listen to this as a collective species and then take a poll and see who thinks killing innocent people/strangers is okay. At least we would know who the troublemakers are and we can lock em' up and finally have some peace in the world.

I have always liked Blaze yeah his style isn't for everyone however I loved his vocals on Sign of the Cross and Virus, a important part of Maidens history, you never know they might have packed it in around that time, I think X Factor is underated, mind blowing darkness in that album, Blaze's solo stuff is excellent but it is down to personal preference in relation to vocals, looking forward to a new album soon, and so glad that Bruce recovered from his illness, up the Irons 🤘😜🤘

Yah. If Blaze did not came up to Iron, hardly the band will bring some new stuff. X factor was darker and virtual XI more funny in some aspects. So when Bruce and Adrian came back, Iron Maiden became more progressive and an skilled band.

Verdade, talvez ele não seja tão bom ao vivo pq o Iron faz shows de 2 horas. Porém ele canta muito, e os álbuns com ele são muito bons!

BLAZE É BOM NO QUE ELE GRAVOU, TBM GOSTO. AS DO BRUCE REALMENTE NÃO SÃO TONS PRA ELE, DFÍCIL DEMAIS.

Would be just as bad as it was back then in live situations. His voice was great on the X Factor album, but he can‘t sing the classic Maiden songs in their original tunings (except for Afraid as it is in a super low range compared to their other songs). It‘s not his fault and he isn’t a bad singer, but he has a totally different range than Bruce. Maiden refused to tune those songs down and so there‘s no chance for him to sing those songs without almost dying.
