Added "(Heavy is Dead Parody)" to the title, because a few commenters seem to think I'm trying to take away credit from the original, when such was never my intention. I made this video as a fan of Delak and the original Heavy is Dead, and I would never try to discredit them.

@@Lunarcreeper That also has a reason for it. Look closely, and you'll see there's a Polished Blackstone Button inside the Skeleton's skull. If you use a command to summon a Skeleton wearing a Button in the helmet slot, it won't burn in daylight.

I was ready to see in game footage of a villager bouncing up and down on a lead. My disappointment is immeasurable.

I love how the Villager doesn’t question the fact that there’s a Pillager who was right next to the body, and then, in the original, Engineer is literally on blu, while everyone else is red. This is literally so perfect.

Funny story about that, actually. Earlier in the video, when the Villager was dancing into view, I had a hard time recreating the dance that Spy did in the original Heavy is Dead, so when I saw Scout dancing later, I realized it would probably be similarly difficult to recreate, so I thought to myself, "okay, what's a good excuse to not animate Steve dancing? Oh I know!" and then I animated my favourite joke of the whole video.

It's a shame that this masterpiece of art is left unrecognized by the community… This deserves more than 3 million viewers

I like the fact that the npcs are just annoyed by the presence of the players.

I love how everyone is animated with bent limbs and facial expressions, then Steve and Alex are actually animated to how it is in game.

The attention to details here is amazing! Especially love that Steve is animated like a player in contrast with everyone else But missed opportunity to make Witch throw a potion instead of firing a gun in my opinion

I thought about that, but then I thought it'd be way funnier if the Witch had the only non-Minecraft weapon in the whole video. (Also, it matches the original joke from Heavy is Dead, where the character known for using projectiles shoots a hitscan weapon.)

In retrospect, I probably would've made the potion a Harming Potion, but when I was animating the scene, the Grimace Shake meme happened, so in the moment, I thought it'd be funny to make the potion purple when it kills him.

I love how instead of thrusting, the skeleton pulls out a bone, which fills the same role. Amazing work!

I'm glad you liked it! I actually had the game open while making some parts to make sure I got things as accurate as I could. For example, if you look closely at the Skeleton, you can see a Button inside his skull, which is why he doesn't burn in daylight, despite him not wearing a Helmet.

Tbh i thought this whould be bad but this version is... 'acxually very good.' Also the detail of Piglin Brute turning into a Zombified Piglin before being killed by the snow golem is some insane atention to detail since piglins do turn into zombies if they are too long in the overworld

Glad you liked it, I made sure to do my research with the little details. Piglins and Brutes become Zombified Piglins after spending 15 seconds in the Overworld, so I made sure the Brute turned exactly 15 seconds after appearing on-screen.

i love how unlike most adaptations of this, the soldier picks up a completely different weapon from the one that is actually used, this has so much heart in it it’s great.

Man the attention to Minecraft detail here is astonishing, like Steve moving like he does ingame and the Snowman leaving diagonal snow when he runs towards the explosion.

This is just insanely underrated. Near one-to-one with the original with a massive amount of attention to detail, but with your own twist and style. Absolutely incredible. The way everyone animates incredibly well, and then we have Steve and Alex just moving about how you'd expect them to.

This may very well be the most underrated piece of media I've ever seen. As an animator myself, I can only imagine how AGONIZINGLY long it took to make it look this good.

I love how every single mob used in this fits for the tf2 character

The fact that this is more well animated than the original video is pure gold

My favourite moment was how you made the ending “child friendly”. I believe it was the reason why the original was age restricted. I loved every bit of it.

NGL, this is probably the best alternate version of The Heavy is Dead. I especially love how Steve and Alex are normally animated like they're in the game.

I honestly didn’t expect much from this, but wow! This was a great spin on a cult classic. All the little details and Easter eggs, like the Piglin becoming zombified, Snow Golem leaving behind a snow trail and everything else were executed masterfully!

Already in the midst of that actually, 'cause this video went from 2k to 20k views in just the past week, over a month after upload.

I love how the gun that shot the Heavy was turned into a crossbow but the Witch still “did it like this!” And the fact that the Snow Golem had a snow trail when he moved to ‘heal’ Steve makes me wonder what this was made in, because I am very impressed.

The Skeleton almost had a helmet, but the lighting messed up and it looked stupid, so instead, I put a Button inside his skull to keep him from burning.

Oh my god dude I was expecting some low effort garbage but this is literally a perfect recreation with a perfect amount of personal touch and your own humor, I have no idea why this isn’t more popular especially considering the like to views ratio

You know what's poetic about this? The scout and the player (steve and alex) can be seen as both annoying In the player's case, we are but a demigod foiling in the mob's natural states + the animations are the same as us having limitations vs the dynamic ones of other characters.

This is absolutely incredible and the attention to detail is insane. Even the little tiny jokes such as earth is flat going to Minecraft is round and the demo bottle with a hat into potion with a hat is a nice touch. Also props to making the actual heavy for that one background character. Really well done along with that anti KZread Demonetization stuff. God i love this! The animation Is so fluid ! And It gives the same vibes of the original ! Then the fact that you choose Steve as scout, choosing not to make it animated like the others (to underline that he is a character who, unlike the others, does not belong directly to that world, since he is the player) It's one of the many gems in this video.
