No one talks about how the first generation of classic rock came back from being on the shelf to being played on the radio in the mid 1980’s.. In 1985 through the early 90’s I was loving listening to the radio. I can remember Sunday morning’s listening to three hours of requested classic rock music from late 60’s to early 70’s. I miss that a lot. Iron Butterfly was apart of the listening experience.

@@j.lietka9406 I have one of the Ventures Model (model name later changed to Mark 1) Mosrite guitars. They were a good quality smaller West coast company, whose heyday was during the 1960s. A large segment of their clientele were Country music artists. They had a comfortable very fast neck, and strong pickups with a beefier tone. Mosrite's founder and owner, Semie Moseley, had originally worked for Rickenbacker, and had started the Mosrite brand by the early 1960s. Towards the end of the '60s, the Mosrite brand had financial trouble, and the brand ended. Semie Moseley attempted to restart the brand in the 1970s, but was unsuccessful. Semie Mosely died in 1992.

@TheCbass1981 Unlike in Britain at that time, when TV broadcasts of popular music artists generally had a performance dedicated to the given broadcast, in America then, many TV broadcasts of popular music artists employed lip syncing to the artist's studio recording of the music, simply because it was easiest. Though one did see American TV broadcasts of artists live performances then, lip syncing was very common.

The establishment considered men with long hair to be blasphemous to the conservative right and nuclear family status quo. It was a rebellion of established norms as they feared being drafted into a war were they would be faced with killing women and children or even to come home in a box.
