Really enjoying this series of pies of the month. Would be nice if you could continue every month with a different ones like salads, soups, savory, sweet, vegetables, meat , chicken, fish, cakes etc.

I experienced a small bit of devastation when the pie fell on the floor. I too would have scraped the good food off the floor! 😥

Thanks for all the Autumn dinner ideas! Easiest way I've found to take the pie out of the tart pan (especially when hot) is to put it down on top of a cup, the sides drop down to the table and you can lift the pie straight off.

Jude reaches over and grabs a crumb of crust off the cutting board, hilarious! lol

Yum yum yum. I totally would've scooped up as much of the fallen pie as I could! And we all got to learn a cautionary lesson about tart pans. I've never had one so didn't even realize they have two pieces. I'm going to have to try this recipe.

Perfect timing and my grocery list is long(making this later today) I do the happy dance when I see the blue pie plates,the music starts and the delicious begins

What a great opportunity to demonstrate a life character lesson. Sometimes things go wrong, but it's how we deal with those situations that build our character. It was encouraging to see you teaching your children to roll with the punches.

I literally yelled the same thing at the same time! Bc I said right before that “well at least their chickens will get a good meal!” Lol

That crunch sound was SO satisfying! Looked so good! You really are in your element with this special series. Getting so fancy and professional and I am here for it ALL!!

Looks amazing! What I do differently is make a cheese sauce with the cheese & cream, then poor it over. It more evenly distributes the cheese! I also serve it with Sour Cream & Chives!

My husband said, “That pie was floor licking good.”😂😂

It's easier if you put the pie on top of a closed jar or something then separate the tart pan.

That pie would be one of my favorites I’m sure. Putting the ingredients on my shopping list! So sorry that it fell when everyone enjoyed it so much.

Megan if you put a can of food/upturned glass on the bench and place the tart tin on that, the ring part will fall off onto the bench and then you can lift the tart off the can/glass - much more controlled! The pie looked delish!

I make something similar, I layer bacon or lardons, then leeks then the thinly sliced potatoes. And layer again. Then pour over some cream and cheese. I serve with a rocket salad and tomatoes and a balsamic glaze dressing - it's a bit sweeter than plain balsamic. It's a killer combo. And I'm in Ireland..... So I think it counts as Irish lol

I make that in the crockpot without the crust obviously. It’s so delicious.

This is the first of the pies that I printed out the recipe (though there are others I felt inspired to make, but this is the first one that motivated me so much that I printed the recipe AND put a tart pan in my amazon cart). I LOVE at the end of the videos Mike's reaction moment. Camera on him. So great. And super good of him to scrap it off the floor, I would have said just take the whole thing off and just dust off the bottom (noone would have died :) ) But scraping off the top was good too. I would imagine that will be a story told for many years.

My family was so excited for this pie the recipe was printed and put on the meal plan immediately

We just got to it and it is life changing!!!! We made 2 pans, one with dairy and one dairy free. Both very different in flavor and experience but both were delicious!!

Megan you might wanna try the impossible pie it’s so so easy and delicious it forms its own crust and you just put it in the fridge for five minutes Then put a cup of coconut on top and bake you can Google the recipe this is one of my family’s favorites

I don't add pastry. Also if u put the pan case on a tin of fruit, and drop the ring to the counter it makes it a bit safer and avoids the pie floor disaster. I'm totally with Mike tho. Too good to go to waste. Looked so yummy.
