Tap dancing is part of Irish culture. The Gardiner Brothers of Galway merge traditional Irish dance with pop music. The result? Millions of clicks and the sound of heels and toes tapping. What inspires this award-winning duo? And how are these two American-born Irishmen bringing Irish dancing to the TikTok generation? We caught up with Michael and Matthew in Dublin to find out.

Love the brothers, they are absolutely great dancers. This is one good thing that came out of the pandemic.

No, they're not, but others have thought the same thing. Although in one of the earlier videos it was stated there was 2 years between them. Then in another video there was a 3 year age difference and now 4 years. At this point who knows. Have a great day. 😊😊😊

"American born" might be technically true but those lads are as Irish as it gets. More Irish than eating tayto sandwiches in front of Bosco without a television licence.
