Irish bouzouki - Toss the Feathers
Музыка
Here's another set of tunes on the bouzouki, two reels that, for reasons unknown, are both called "Toss the Feathers". The first one was famously covered by The Corrs some time ago, the second I picked up from the playing of Phil and the late John Cunningham on one of the old Silly Wizard albums.
For those who are interested, the bouzouki is a Fylde longscale archtop in G,DAd. Backing is played by me on that same bouzouki and on a Martin guitar in DADGAD.

lovely version of toss the feathers. Very skilled
That had the hairs on the back of my neck standing on end, and my foot tapping on the floor! I'm blown away!
If I was listening to this whilst driving, then I'd be nicked for joyous speeding!
You start out at such a blistering pace... and then maintain it ( unbelievably). You must have been playing stringed instruments a long time. Clean picking,& maintain an even tempo, Wow

Trad musicians are often asked why they play so fast. The answer is usually "Because I can"! 😉
I play metal and I must say...you rock!
Not only you're fast and flawless, your touch is perfect and you deliver a wide range, if one listens without watching it might even sound as if there were two instruments playing at the same time. Keep up the good work - also kudos for promoting traditional music.

I LOVE this! I've been working on my mandolin playing recently (on an old mandolin in poor condition), and I was finally able to get a very nice mandolin this month, but I've been wanting an Irish bouzouki like this for YEARS!!!!
Amazing work dude, keep it on
Just watched this for the third time today! You have killer chops and it shows how much you enjoy this music. Thanks for blessing us all this way.
A joy! You have such a great feel for the music, and you communicate that feel so well. PS that's one hell of a quick and accurate left hand you've got there!

So loved this performance. I have sent the link to many of my music-lover friends to spread the word of your talent. I would enjoy seeing you play with Chris Thile, who hosts the NPR program Live From Here.

Sadly, Live From Here was cancelled a while back...
"Let's play Toss the Feathers" he says. So, I play the version I know, your second version. "That's not it!" says he. hmm thinks I. So finally you've revealed the mystery of the double Toss. And you revealed them quite stunningly. I think you passed the audition.
Wow, amazing playing I’m blown away....I play a regular acoustic but couldn’t get near that speed. Came here due to seeing a bazouki for sale online locally and wondered about getting it 🙂.
Good grief! I just bought my first bouzouki and your channel is by far my favorite. What a freaking talent you are! Love your videos!
Just wonderful.
Wow! Great tune and great playing!
I smashed the subscribe button within 4 seconds . Top man
Amazing! Well done
Beautiful playing and lovely instrument. I love bouzoukis that are resonant like that. Some of them are way too twangy, but that one has a nice, deep sound. Absolutely gorgeous!
Buying a Bouzouki ASAP. Wasn’t too sure if I wanted one.. This vid inspired me thanks man.
Ciao from Italy, Tijn! I've recently found this channel and this video seems to be my favourite!!
really great mate
I was thinking to myself, "That's a beautiful sounding bouzouki" then saw in description it's a Fylde and realised I needed to keep dreaming. Awesome playing.
Wow this guy can play 👍
Μπράβο from Greece! Bravo!
Better than anything I could've done, bravo
this is so great!
IN-CRED-I-BLE!!! What a performance, and what bright and cheerful tune. Thank you!

Thanks to this video, I was able to clear up some confusion learning Toss the Feathers. I Hand't realized there was two different versions. Keep up the great work!
