I wish more love interests were written like miles. He’s so honest, fun and cute. It’s so much more attractive (to me at least) than Hollywood’s typical greek gods with 12-packs and perfect hair.

Not to mention his dorkiness! The way he mimes his jokes and playfully sings--you just don't see that with a lot of the dreamy romcom love interests. (At least, I haven't.)

I wished we had more Iris and Miles. Nothing against Amanda and Graham, I love the kids and Mr Napkin Head, but I relate so much more to Iris setting her standards higher, standing up for herself and realising what a gem of a man Miles is. They’re just too adorable! ❤️❤️

I love how the long distance thing was such a huge obstacle for Amanda and Graham… but Iris tells Miles that she’s going to back to England for New Year’s and he’s like, “oh no problem.” 😂

Iris and Miles were the best part of this movie. I found myself bored at the generic Amanda and Graham fantasy and excited to see the sweet chemistry between Iris and Miles. Every scene they had together gave me such a warm fuzzy feeling, they're so comfortable around each other and so funny. All the cheek and forehead kisses, the laughter. Friends to lovers is such a healthy progression, and they didn't lose their beautiful friendship and silliness when they got together. They truly were quite possibly one of the best on screen couples I've ever seen in a romcom. Their eventual getting together was so natural too, no over the top big gesture, their connection was so strong they didn't need big words or explanations, they just both understood. Made this movie such a treasure 💛

I agree! I was turned off by every scene with Jude Law and Cameron Diaz. Kate and Miles were just the opposite.

So was I, I honestly don’t think that any sort of committed relationship could ever happen between those two.

I fell ridiculously hard for Miles as a kid, and thought it was a CRIME that Miles and Iris didn't have more screen time. Yup, still feel the same. Jack Black is so adorable oh goodness!! The chemistry with Kate is so heckin good

Just saw this movie today and I 100% agree lol! I didn’t know Jack had that sweetness and charm in him away from the comedic characters he always plays 🤣💗 he was amazing in this film and made me appreciate his versatility a lot more!

4:10 love this moment where they both have a moment of “oh my god I’m so lucky!” about eachother. It’s so cute.

I love this couple! My favorite kind of man is a man that can make others laugh. I love to laugh and someone who brings so much laughter and joy, and lightheartedness, is always worthwhile. I think that's precisely what Iris needed in the movie. There was so much heartache from her past relationship and Miles came in and gradually began to heal her heart with laughter and joy. Love it!

For me their scenes were the best.

I love how Kate and Jack both had horrible, abusive ex's that made them feel like crap about themselves and then found one another and could see how awesome the other was!! This is the story with my now Husband ❤ Having horrible ex's has made us sooooo grateful for one another!

Kate Winslet is simply Stunning

Okay I’m convinced half of these were bloopers they kept in cuz they were too genuine and adorable to cut.

Came here because a Tiktok was talking about the female gaze and how great Jack Black is in this and I’ve never seen the movie and even just these 4.5 minutes have me falling in love with Jack Black. This has 100% changed my opinion on him permanently

Oh, he is an absolute sweetheart, I adore him!

Arthur, iris and miles were the best part of this movie.

Both love stories are beautiful... Amanda has daddy issues but resolves them finally after she meets Graham who has pretty much the same equation with his daughters that she had with her dad. It helps he's handsome and falls for her right away anyway! He too finds a woman comfortable with his kids. Frankly they're a lucky catch for each other. Iris and Miles make a less complicated couple. They become friends because they made the same mistake and don't judge each other. Also they realize they're very similar for all the right reasons. The comfort level is off the charts. They're also lucky they discover each other immediately after their break ups... No time to whine! 🥰

This is one of my favorite movies. I find each character so well crafted, both in the writing and the performance, and so believable, that I can just lose myself in the world here created.

Agreed. The cast is insanely talented (and good looking), and the plot is enjoyable and well written. I adore the chemistry between the couples. Humor is great. What's there not to like? :)
