my question is when you are streaming a live dj set let’s say on tik tok and you’re hooked up to the irig stream pro is the music going into tik tok if u don’t want to use speakers and can you mix in the headphones as well? ik it’s a long question but i’m confused.

Hello sir, Do you need to use an additional soundcard so that the audio results get better, I just bought Irig stream pro 1 month ago but I feel that the low is not too big and the audio sound is not as good as my friend who uses a soundcard at the same price as Irig stream pro. May I ask your opinion on this matter

Hey great video chance! I recently bought a irig stream to record my dj sets but I’m running into a problem with the annoying static sounds in my recordings. I was just wondering if you ever dealt with that with yours and how would you go about troubleshooting that issue. (I have no issues with sound clarity when it comes to connecting my ddj 400 directly to the speaker) Thanks and happy holidays!

Hi special K. Thanks for the question and the watch. I seem to get static electricity, depending on where I am recording. So places have bad grounding or some kind of RF interference. I was able to overcome it by using a cloud lifter for my microphone and also plugging my power supply directly into my Furman voltage regulator. Tripplite also has voltage regulators but I’ve found the Furmans to be better and more consistent in all aspects.

Hey thanks man. As always simple and informative. Right now I have a super ghetto fabulous setup with the USB going from controller into an HP i5 running Serato Lite laptop and then running a split cable from headphone jack on the laptop into powered Alesis M1Active studio monitors. Could you recommend a pocket friendly solution to increase sound quality and eliminate some of the lag I experience when playing very "busy" tracks together, if that makes sense. Also, would placing the speakers further from the laptop and controller help with that issue? Thanks again. Much love!

  • @idjchance

    Жыл бұрын

Hello Dima. As always thank you for watching and commenting. Are you getting lag into the laptop, like you’re video recording or live stream or just to your speakers? It sounds like it would be your laptop processor giving the lag. Serato tends to gear their software towards Mac even from the beginning days just due to variants of windows built machines, their specific company’s parts manufacturers, their ecosystems and inconsistent build qualities. The first thing I’d look at would be to make sure you have the current version of Serato Lite. Latest OS on your HP. Get a good usb cable with a ferrite choke on both ends to help eliminate any signal interference. Make sure your gear is grounded from the wall power supply. Bad grounding can cause a host of problems all on its own. Check your y plug and speakers cables to make sure they are TRS not TRRS.

@@idjchance thank you so much, dude! I do have the latest software version. I have never heard of a ferrite choke before so I'm going to look into that for sure. The other thing is I think I need to play around with my laptop settings and optimize everything for performance because I think anything less than that is what's causing the lag. Basically, if I'm in the mix and I apply effects like echo or reverb at high level/depth, the music sounds like there's a bottle neck or something where the sound gets distorted and almost sounds like an old cassette tape where the ribbon would get twisted. I absolutely love this little controller. It's so much fun!

It’s good on its own for a quick remote but I found that it’s better with a cloud lifter. I go Podmic into cloud lifter then into irig stream. Or if I’m using multiple mics, I plug everything into the rodecaster pro then the irig stream

  • @idjchance

If you need to put out more than one mic and your rev1, you shouldn’t need a sound mixer. The irig stream pro is basically a sound mixer since you can do 2 mics and the rca inputs. If you do use a mixing board plug everything into that then the output of the board should go to the input on the irig and then the irig into your device. Thanks for the comment and the watch.

Great video but I have a question. I got the iRig stream and I need to create Instagram Reels in Stereo via the Instagram app on an iPhone but after trying many times with different cords etc. I am only getting a mono signal recorded to the reel with the iRig Stream. The same this happens when doing a remix on instagram in the app, recorded in mono. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong or should I just go for the Pro version and will it record with the Instagram app on and iPhone in stereo?

This didn't work for me. I tried plugging this into my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface, which is plugged into my Roland TD-17 V drums kit for live streaming. I run that into a DAW and usually just recorded midi drums for covers. Now I wanna live stream and bought a dual 1/4" to RCA cable that runs into my Scarlett from the iRig Stream Pro. That is connected to my phone, which is my camera via Aux to usb c cable. The mic I use is a condenser mic that came with my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. Initially, I had it plugged into the iRig Stream Pro, but was told by a friend to try plugging it into my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface. I still have no signal or any clue as to how it works or how to set up my live stream for drumming to song requests and whatnot. Help?

Hey drummer. I’ve never used a DAW or electronic drums so I can’t offer any insight there. The way I have everything hooked up is everything audio (dj gear and microphone) goes into my Rodecaster Pro mixer. Then the rodecaster pro RCA output into the Irig. Then the Irig to the iPhone video recording through the lightning cable.

@@rickybritish ok so from what you’re saying it seems like you would need another set of headphones to have plugged into the irig stream pro in place of speakers. Or you can constantly unplug your headphones from your mixer to the irig and back. Also you can have your livestream play through your laptop speakers (there will be a noticeable delay from those). That’s in the serato dj pro settings. You click on “allow other apps to use serato” however that’s worded. Let me know if that helps.
