I saw your channel and I was inspired to finally get my first synthesizer. Then I got a delay pedal. Then, a reverb pedal. Now I go to sleep at 5am every day. This channel is awesome. Thank you.
I have always loved ambient electronic music 🎵 and can honestly say the sounds and textures you create are outstanding like a painting layer upon layer of sound 👍

as always, magnificent music, i remember the first time i listened to electronic music i was a child, vangelis, jmj, tangerine tomita, i was 5 years old when i listened to oxygene, i perfectly remenber the feelings i had when i put the vynil in the hifi system, since them i felt in love with synhs, but in the 2000 real electronic music dissapeared, but in pandemic i discovered this maestro of synths, whenever i listen toi him i remember that feelings i had, i feel like a child (i am almost 50) when i listen this art piece of music... thanks state azure you make this world a better place..

Agreed Igor, same background, same roots, same passion for electronic music. SA and Martin Stürtzer are now my daily Spotify companions while working or chilling. A pleasure to discover the new generation. In 30 years people will say: « when I was young I listened to State Azure » and everyone on what will remain of this planet will know him.

@@nolake for me music is feelings, in improvisations you always see the pure musician... that is why i love Vangelis por example , and that is why i love SA also, you sense things that are not present in other kind of music...yo sense a layer that is not present outside improvisations...

You're an amazing musician. You have a massive setup, you're a master lol. I just order my second synth the Hydra desktop version so excited to try and add it to my setup, all the best, and thanks for all the content you made for all of us.
Really good. I'm happy and excited when you put stuff out now and then every time! And the visuals are so cool and calming!

I started my synth journey 1986. I lost count how many. My iridium keyboard is my favorite! I bought a pulse 2 and love it. Then the iridium desktop and then the keyboard. You seem to find the soul of each synth and make it bigger than it was. I love your skills and I’ve fallen asleep to nothing more than sound demos for summit. Brilliant

An outstanding blend of pads, textures and effects.

You need to be out there more mate. Great skills should be appreciated. I have been telling myself that for the lasts 25 years. I have spent so much time with music. Started as a dancer. Then a DJ for 14 years. Then moved in a diffrent direction. Trying to find my groove again now. I like your style. Not my pace but the sounds are sweet.

Beautiful, That Waldorf is very clean. ive been wondering if I should get the hydrasynth as a good starting point for outboard gear?
sounds amazing! how do you find hydrasynth vs iridium soundwise? which one do you prefer?

Excellent as usual!. Are both Iridium and Hydrasynths running through the effects pedals? Interested how you have your FX pedals routed with 2 synths?
@stateazure
Жыл бұрын
Thanks! No Microcosm used this time, just the Boum and H90. Both synths are going into a SplitMix4 mixer then to the pedals, so they both get the same FX.

@@stateazure I noticed the lack of microcosm in this video after i commented (been binge watching all your stuff) and tried to edit it out but you must have got there before me , lol :D. Thanks for replying though, I understand your setup a bit more now. I love your music man, it’s an inspiration to me, and not being in the greatest of health atm it’s good for my mental health to just stick on a pair of headphones and zone out, so i really appreciate your uploads. I’ve bought myself some gear, an Arturia Polybrute, Waldorf Iridium, Behringer Odyssey, Roli Seaboard Rise 2, Boss RC 505 mk2, and my old Korg Triton Extreme…. I plan on getting a small studio setup in a spare bedroom, buying a few FX pedals and trying to learn how to do some ambient synth stuff like you do….not for youtube or anything, just something to keep me occupied and chill out with. Still undecided on what FX unit to buy first, Microcosm or H90, although i hear the latter isn’t that easy to get a hold of right now. I also need a good drum machine as well, have been looking at the Syntakt / Digitakt but not entirely sure of the differences between them and whether i should just go for a more pure drum machine like the Roland TR 8s instead… Also not sure if I’m gonna need some sort of midi hub to keep it all in sync? …. Sorry for all the questions, Just trying to work out what i need but i suspect i will need to get into my studio and just do a lot of experimentation. There isn’t many people on youtube who do what you do as well as you do it - lol , So just trying to glean as much info as i can.

@@darkcognitive Sorry to hear about your health issues, I'm glad the music is helping and inspiring you though! That's a nice setup of synths I think. I used to own a Korg Triton many years ago and loved that workstation. If you were to go with the Syntakt or Digitakt, those can work as your midi hub/main midi brain, I think they both have 8 midi channels each. As for the difference, Digitakt is sample based and the Syntakt isn't, it uses it's built in synth/sounds. Microcosm comes with a built in reverb and looper, but neither reverb or looper are as good as dedicated options, but they're not bad.
Amazing! I am about to pull the trigger on the Hydrasynth. If there was one piece of gear to go with it, which would you pick?
@stateazure
Жыл бұрын
Well, for me, it would have to be a looper so that even with just the Hydrasynth you could still stack/overdub layers upon layers for creating soundscapes. I'd probably pick the Microcosm or the H90, mostly like the H90 since you could run one FX and one looper in serial.
Hey Azure, aside from the blatantly obvious, are there any other differences between the Iridium desktop and your new keyboard version?
Do you still have your Iridium desktop. I like the Iridium so much, I may considering getting the Iridium Keys, as well. It's probably my favorite synthesizer. I'm surprised you didn't get the Hydrasynth Keys. Thank you for posting this. I'm still waiting on my Eventide H90. I can only imagine the power of that effects processors.
@stateazure
Жыл бұрын
I still have my Iridium Desktop version too. I bought the Hydrasynth desktop very early when it was released before the larger keyboard version came I think, by then I had no space for it anyway. Iridium keyboard has poly aftertouch too though, so I have the best of both world and can use the poly AT with the Hydrasynth desktop. I'm really over my limits now for space, my Osmose doesn't have a permanent place to be set up.
2.0 firmware for hydrasynth was released today

Figured it had been dusted off due to that. :)
@16:50 What is the static-y rainlike patch?
I feel the Hydrasynth sound is too thin. I'm irritated with it currently.
