Takanashi did it awhile back in their match against France. He immediately approach Ishikawa after being successful in doing it.😉

The Ishikawa fake back row into setting Nishida is literally the sickest thing. One of the few people in the world that can do that.

Yeah for sure, but man Sekita is a beast. One of the most consistent Setters and his serves are so consistent too. And people say short players aren't built for Volleyball. You just have to be that good.

Ran playing as a libero last season provided so much value to Japans team. He has shown great defense during the game and was still able to score a decent amount of points. Imagine how much the players will develop in 3-4 years from now.

from a japanese fan to my Iranian friends: no country can hold on to their golden generation and iran is no exception not only that they are just starting with their new generation of players its gonna take them years to develop experience and skill, i still remember the fear i used to feel whenever marouf would touch the ball iran is one of the titans of volleyball, LOVE FROM JAPAN

yeah you are right I remember it took years for japan to become this strong again after the Shimizu generation. For Iran, it will take years too. btw it wasn't the Iran main team of the new generation. that's why they lost easily. and Javad Karimi is a new Marouf. remember his name ;)

Watching the Japanese team play is literally the most satisfying thing ever to witness, it’s so fluid and disciplined, japan will and always be a beautiful team.

I am Iranian and I know that in this game, the Iranian players did not play well at all and showed a poor level of play and we expected much more ... But apart from this, the Japanese players are really admirable and I enjoy watching them play ... they really fight! I hope we will see better games from our team in the future

It is not just the experience. Iranians need to change their mentality and momentum in the game. They seem delayed in and lazy in both their positioning and reactions. The new generation unfortunately doesn't have the coaches that the golden gen had. And I mean the underage time not just the adult team.

@@EpicEternal2 You are right, and wrong planning in the development of talents in recent years and the sudden replacement of key and well-known players is the main reason for Iran's weakness. The new players are very talented and their average height and age are very good and I think there are more talents than the previous generation. Unfortunately, unprofessional and wrong training has injured several key players and weakened the national team. The coach for this young generation with the right intentions and rejuvenation happened suddenly! Many mistakes by the federation and the players have caused the current situation of the national team. I hope we will see the progress of our talented national team in the future

@@praching9659 Yes, they can be much better. Their average age is low and they are very inexperienced. And their average height is great. Their strength and speed are high, but their weaknesses make them not perform well. It is a talented generation that can surpass the previous generation of Iranian volleyball. With the right planning and a good coach and harder training, they certainly can. I must say that in these games, 3 main and important Iranian players are injured and the team is not well coordinated. I also hope for a better future. Thank you 💜

Def one of the cleaner executions of this play. Nishida had no blockers at all

Kudos, Nippon! Great fight, Iran. Ran Takahashi’s presence made a big difference in this game; having a libero , a spiker, and a blocker rolled into one is truly an amazing thing especially when you have Nishida and Ishikawa playing together.

In this game Ran didn't do pretty well in spiking and blocking compared to his previous performance, but he defensed as perfect as usual. There're players other than the popular ones shining in this game, and I hope they can get some credit too.

There is something incredibly satisfying seeing Ishikawa fake a spike and instead does a back set to Nishida to trick the opponent

I know Iran wasn’t team A since I saw lots of young players for their experience, but didn’t expect Japanese straight win 3-0. To think of the “REAL” match which isn’t for new player’s experience, I really hope that Japan will go to final round and be in the top4 with 🇺🇸🇧🇷🇫🇷 !
