IRELAND 2021 4k - Doolough Valley - Connemara - Scenic Drive Road R335

Ireland's Atlantic coast is fascinating. Especially the beaches in the northwest and west of the island, the coasts of Donegal and Mayo, are even more lonely and rough. The weather is constantly changing, and if you are prepared to take the time, you will be rewarded with new sensory impressions between high and low tide, without having to travel far. Just the right thing for all those who want to slow down. Of course, you can also cover the 2,500 km of the "Wild Atlantic Way" in 10 days. But I doubt that this is the right approach to really appreciate and love Ireland and its people and to have a relaxing holiday. Better find a base station for 4 to 10 days at a time from which you can travel the surrounding beaches and coastlines as well as the hinterland in very small stages. Be prepared to spend several hours or even a whole day at just one beach and in just one place, instead of rushing from A to B, which will only lead to you not experiencing anything of what this island has to offer.....

Your name is very Irish. May I ask,are you from Liverpool or something? Also, most of Ireland is much more...mundane than this😅 Iceland is non-stop fantastical landscape. America has everything, and the steppe is a remarkable place because of its homogenity and size

@@xa-12musk8 What a nasty comment! We have travelled Ireland many times and you are wrong because the rest of Ireland is not mundane. In fact everywhere we went we found to be more beautiful than the previous beautiful place. The beautiful of Ireland is varied and seemingly endless. We sold our home and moved permanently to Ireland in 2022.

It’s beautiful, but is this officially Conamara? Is this north of Killary Harbour and heading south towards Leenaun? I thought that Conamara is never considered to be north of Killary Harbour?

Correct... Wikipedia shows the Connemara region in red. And the R335 runs entirely north of Killary Fjord. But oh well. ;)

for me and many others the Connemara region already starts in County Mayo, shortly after Westport from about Louisburgh, if you come from the west. I don't define the beginning of Connemara at the County Galway border, it's the same landscape before that, see here among others: www.mayo-ireland.ie/en/things-to-do/itineraries/connemara-on-westport-doorstep-drive.html

The title description indicates that it is Road 335 and a Google search for "Road 335 Connemara" will bring up a lot of information about it, such as this: www.mayo-ireland.ie/en/things-to-do/itineraries/connemara-on-westport-doorstep-drive.html

@@irelandbeachesandcoastline2565 I thought you were right not to talk during this very atmospheric video. The beauty and the music combined did all the talking necessary. People can find what they need to know from the info you provided in the Title and Description. Well done for making a beautiful video of a place that clearly touched your soul.
