I flew for Amainhobbies and Gens Ace a long time ago... 12 years ago. The IRCHA events were huge. I mean HUGE. The events were always packed. It seems the hobby doesn't have as many people in it these days and I don't see all the big name pilots I used to see :/

It’s definitely not as big as it use to be but it’s been getting more and more popular lately. IRCHA has died down because of some stuff and people don’t come anymore. We are trying to fix it now!

Thank you! The comet did really good after an issue at speed cup. Full video coming Wednesday! IRCHA used to be even bigger than it is right now. We had just under 400 registered pilots about 10 years ago over 1400 registered pilots. It has a lot to do with the way somethings were ran but hopefully it will get bigger in Grow again.

Great footage. I hope to make it out there next year.

It really is! That guy put a ton of work into the helicopter!

Two of my buddy's in the vid. One flying. That Danish guy, people cheer and wow about. He's a GREAT pilot. 🙂 But what happend to your T-Rex 760??? It was, if i remember correctly, loaded in the trailer in the last vid.

He is a fantastic pilot! He can definitely throw down very smooth and good. I didn’t bring the 760X this year. There is nothing wrong with it, I was just more focused on speed cup, and just brought a couple SAB models.

Congrats on having the best guess to win the ESC. I was there Friday and Saturday. It was a nice event! Any idea why Mikado wasn't there?

Thank you! I think that ESC will go in my RAW 500! From what I was told, they didn’t see the reason to go there and move their entire shop there when the people they sell to is, who is there, which absolutely made zero sense to me.

Haven't been un more than 10 years. Flight line sure looks thin comparatively. Sign of the times, i guess.

It’s definitely a lot smaller than 10 years ago. Only around 380 pilots this year and 10 years ago there was 1400 plus! Big difference.

Right there with you. I went 2 times roughly 10 years ago and had a blast. It looks like the hobby is just kind of fizzling out. I don't fly anymore, but still have a few helis and my Jeti DS-16. I want to fly them, but I haven't even touched the sticks in about 5 years so I am scared I would just put them in the dirt.

Sounds like there a few of us in that same predicament. I was never a great pilot to begin with so I'm sure I would not fare well. I went to IRCHA from 2009-2013, lived in Michigan, then in 2012 moved to N. Carolina, made it too much of a stretch to go for me. I just started looking into the hobby again to see what's new as well as who is still around that's old. Like Hirobo, was a big fan but was nearly extinct in the U. S. When I was into the hobby. Maybe some day I will blow the dust off my shuttle zxx😊

Is this open to the public? Why doesn’t sab offer the mini comet anymore? Or is the fireball the same?

Yes it is! Anyone can come and fly. It’s $120 pilot registration fee, but that includes the full 5 days. The mini comet is still available. They have a new version. The 700 size is no longer available.n

You can you go to the stend spirit and get an overview?

Who is being nasty? I’ve told you this before you find them you buy them. I don’t know where other people purchase theirs from but they are no longer made. You must look for sale used and they pop up from time to time.
