While a bit annoying when it comes to unlocking them for creation, I really like the approach the devs took for this unit. This whole area is reverse DnD town, not only having Dhampirs, but letting you corrupt and recruit them is such a fun mechanic and idea.

i agree, looking back, the game did a lot of good things, it's even better than darkest dungeon 2. I think they improved the darkest dungeon formula but they never got the difficulty right and some minions were OP so they ended with a very low combination mix usually people having the same 3-4 line-ups

@@NeyreyanI just bought the game yesterday, so I'm still at the stage of trying out units and team compositions. That said, you seem to be right about your assessment thus far. But even if the game is not perfect I think it's a great first step for an indie studio and I'm more excited for whatever they are cooking next than I ever was for Darkest Dungeon II (even if I'm not sure I agree they perfected the formula, I think it's more precise to say they've given it a great twist, that makes it their own)

@@axios4702 true, exploring the game is very fun, don't be afraid to be on a higher difficulty and don't forget to use every feature, some of them seem useless in the begining but they aren't:D enjoy, it's a nice experience

You could have broke the stance of the dhampir everytime with Iratus' wife's magical arrow that makes her stepback. But i guess you wanted to have your ghost all the time at the 4th position and keep the dhampyr's sanity intact until the end of the fight. ( i think i just answered my question lol )
