Iran's President, Foreign Minister Killed in Helicopter Crash w/ Setareh Sadeqi
The deaths of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and multiple over high-ranking officials were confirmed, following a helicopter crash in Iran’s East Azerbaijan Province.
Independent Iranian Journalist Setareh Sadeqi noted that while the investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is still ongoing, the reaction by Western politicians and the coverage from Western media is a reminder of how little they understand the inner workings of the Iranian Government they are trying to exploit.

if this is the case because of the American Sanctions and Iran cannot maintain the planes due to lack of spare parts then why use such a helicopter. Why not purchase Russian which is more reliable, safe, and far cheaper.

Two out of the three helicopters were Russians. Sadly, the President was in an American helicopter.
A very different perspective on recent events from an Iranian. This is very welcome, thank you.
Thank you Rachel Blevins for your good shows
Rachel and Setareh, Thanks ! ❤🔥👏
Very interesting interview and well conducted by Rachel who has a warm attitude with the interviewee!
The saddest moment of losing someone like Raise, foreign minister and other authorities is the worse tragedy, but for sexism Iranian in west is otherwise.
The fact that the 2 other planes arrived safely let doubts arise if it was an "accident"!

How you figure that? What if one of them hit the mountain and the others backed off? Not buying this train of thought. For once I think it might just be a random accident.

Very informative - thank you Rachel for inviting this very interesting and knowledgable independent Iranian journalist. So, so, SO much better than propagandistic American network tripe!
Thank you Rachel
Spare parts for civilian aircraft should never be withheld under any circumstance. It is a moral imperative to not risk the lives of the general public anywhere, regardless of politics
Condolences to Iranian people, families of the President & foreign minister Amirabdulahian plus others lost their lives. This disaster will make the Iranian nation stronger and more resilient. Stay strong Iran 💔
Thanks Rachel.
Great new information I learned today
Rachel provides access to various points of view and is one of the best independent journalists. Her videos contribute to the reinterpretation of information published in the world's media.
Excellent discussion, Rach and guest
I fear this might be a dirty plot from foreign militaries 😢 -if it is i pray this doesnt escalate into a full blown war in the region. 🙏✌️
Thanks for this report Rachel
Thank you both for the interview. It is one of the most accurate descriptions I have ever heard about Iran, about the political structure, about the current situation in Iran etc.. Well done
Thank you, very important information... Respect for ur journalistic integrity 😊
Let us break the barrier and listen to smart women , journalists, and mothers of this world. Let us hear Rachel and Setareh or The Shining Star in Persian. Thanks Rachel.
Simply... EXCELLENT! I learned a lot. Thank you both. #1DEAD100BORN! #LONGLIVERESISTANCE note: After October 7, we all have the opportunity to get to know Iran! And learn how Democracy works without propaganda - contrary to countless lies. And to see how veiled women do not compromise their brains! #LONGLIVERESISTANCE
Great interview...
Danke for peace news,Allah may rest his soul in eternal peace, condolences to his Family.
It would be great if we could see this kind of interview in mainstream media. The basics of good journalism is to listen to different sides of a story, to listen to people with different perspectives.
Thanks ❣️🤗
Thanks!

It's difficult not to suspect foul play given yhe recent tit-for-tat with Israel.
Tnx
4:03 "so far we don't have evidence"...outside of being a technical issue that [supposedly] brought about the crash. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of some enemy entities being behind the "crash." Let us not forget that a few Iranian high-rank officials have been assassinated.
"Old American helicopter "and "no parts because of the sanctions"!!! Is this believable that the highest ranking officials could not find any other mean for flying than than an old american junk (probably from 70's) ?!! Utter non sens!
Raisi is now sleeping with the fishes… 🐟 🐠 May he transition in peace ✌️
After the update that the president changed his helicopter from the Russian-made that he normally used and the pilot from IRG to a 30-years old US-made helicopter with the different (than normal IRG) pilot from the Iranian army, it's hard not to suspect a foul play.
Turkish drone was way off base by like 10 km and Iranian drones found the site

I feel the most likely scenario is that this was a very tragic accident due to a combination of bad weather and possible technical issue. Time will tell after the investigations are carried out. My condolences to the great and honorable people of Iran.

Don't jump to conclusions for your convenience.
It's a strange situation, why were the other 2 helicopters fine? If it was not an assassination attempt, then as Alexander Mercouris of The Duran mentions, it must be incompetence. The incompetence is many folds. 1. Why fly super old US helicopters? Why not buy newer helicopters from Russia? 2. Why did the pilot fly in such bad weather conditions? They should have insisted to go by road. But Why were the other 2 helicopters fine? So tragic and so sad! Especially after Syrian embassy bombing

1. I think they might just be used to those helicopters out of old habit. Like when Poland's top government officials died in the 2010 plane crash on an old USSR plane, when landing in thick fog. 2. The pilot may have been pressured by some officials, like supposedly happened in the Polish case. Or there may be some incompetence involved there, either by the pilot or flight control It is of course risky by the government of Iran itself to fly many top officials in the same vehicle like that, although it enables them to converse on the trip.
Setara are you sure you're an independent journalist?😂😂
We don't hear anything of the other persons who lost their lives. Don't they count? It's also strange that the two helicopter convoys are not mentioned.

what's in common between the iranian incident and the Slovakia prme minister it's the awful security protection, this is inside job for both of them, some one had to talk him into riding the helicopter, in any way i dont feel sorry for both of them bcs i dont respect idiots

God bless their soles. What a sad news.
It's nice to know that Iran still preferred a 40 year old American Helicopter then any other nations more modern helicopters.
Girl, I just came here to say, draw in your eyebrows.
Setareh makes it quite clear that it was an accident.
Leader of the Revolution that guy I might follow but I would never follow a guy called Supreme Leader.
Isreal took him out, no way a presidential helecopter is going to take chances flying through dsngerous weather conditions, and a malfuction is very improbable
@steinbauge4591

Nonsense. he did this constantly and would probably have insisted on using this chopper rather than a slower alternative. Not exactly improbable with a 40 year old chopper. the weather apparently changed rapidly. Shit happens, seems hnis aides were worried about his risky/constant travel all over Iran.

All helicopters in Iran are maintained, overhauled by IRANIAN state owned companies in charge of manufacturing parts , components, and upgrades, also manufacturing a few types of helicopters but not heavy duty ones.🟩⬜🟥🇮🇷🇮🇷🇱🇹🇪🇭🇮🇳🇧🇪🇮🇶🇧🇬🇪🇬🇱🇧🇨🇺🇦🇿🇰🇼🇯🇴🇪🇸💐🇰🇵
If you cannot get parts for aircraft, you don’t use them. How difficult is that to understand? Especially helicopters, which are not the safest in the first place. Several bad decisions were made here, and unless new evidence comes out, this was a catastrophe based on really poor choices, for once, having nothing to do with the west.

You have no concrete evidence of that. The biggest red flag is that in the Irani president's helicopter 🚁 convoy, there were THREE copters! The other TWO made it safe and sound to Tabriz. The copter in the front and the copter in the back made it without any issues to Tabriz... The Helicopter of President Raisi, Foreign Minister Abdollahian, Governor Rahmati, and cleric Al-Hashem was the chopper in the middle... And all video clips of the crash site, clearly depict that the helicopter was unusually burnt out and did not appear like other helicopter crashes that occurred in mountainous, heavily forrested areas... Usually, there are parts found scattered about, but this helicopter was burnt way beyond what it should have been... Almost as if it exploded before it crashed. Forensic investigation will reveal much more, including if or when its black box is forensically examined.
The “supreme leader” is the exact translation of how he is addressed by the media in Iran and by all references to him in public discourse. Your guest feels uncomfortable by the sound of that term in English, as she should! But she shouldn’t lie about it.
