TEHRAN’S MOST IMPORTANT FOOD
1. SEYED MEHDI: Aash Reshteh + Halim
AASH RESHTEH: Boil lentils and add in mixed herbs (parsley, dill, leeks, tarragon, cilantro). Allow it to cook for 20 minutes. Add in chickpeas, kidney beans, pepper and salt. In a separate pan, add turmeric to oil and then add fried onion and allow it to brown before adding to the main pot. Add wheat noodles (reshteh) and allow it to cook for another 20 minutes. Serve with fried onion, fried mint and sour yogurt on top.
HALIM: Boil wheat for five hours. In a separate pot, boil lamb chunks as well. Mix both boiled ingredients together and build congealed texture. Eat for breakfast with salt, sugar, cinnamon, olive oil, coconut oil and drizzled butter

🥒ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but currently call Vietnam home. I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. People either enjoyed my undeniable charm or enjoyed watching me eat things like coconut worms, and thus Best Ever Food Review Show came to be.
I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer. If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.
Don’t forget to subscribe to Best Ever Food Review Show, so we can connect through food and travel and become Bestys!

Persian food is awesome! I used to build and deliver furniture to homes as part of my old job. One day myself and a coworker delivered to an Iranian immigrant lady who moved into a condo in our city. Rather than tip us with cash at the end of delivery, she cooked us food and some kind of pastry. The food was devine and much appreciated! Heaven is here on Earth!

@Mikull Mac - It's funny you should say that. I'm Iranian. And a couple of weeks back the cable company repair guy was coming over to fix an issue. it was a late appointment. My wife was cooking dill rice and pan fried salmon. The guy said it smells good. So once he was done, we made him a spot at the table and asked him to join us for dinner. At first he was hesitant. But once he realized we were sincere, he sat down. We had a nice long chat. I hope he liked the food...

Yeah imprisoning innocent people under false spying charges and using them as bargaining chips to relieve their sanctions. Wonderfully governed 👎🏻sneaky attacks on oil refineries and causing disruption on the straight of hormuz. Breaking laws and sending oil to Syria to fund terrorism. The list goes on. Dangerous place and dangerous people in power. However this shouldn't be a stain on the people within Iran though. I'm sure theres many many wonderful Iranian people there who don't agree with these issues - however the mass human rights abuses an the gender inequality are something that's a bridge too far for me. Looks an amazing place. Shame about the dictatorship. The world is such a corrupt place.

From Philippines haha ..when I watch this video I realize Iranian people are so adorable the way they smile it's way more different. CNN and any American tv news are not talking about this.. I think if I have a chance and money to travel this is one of my destination ahaha hope I can go there and eat a lot of foods and learn more to their culture.

Hey Sonny! I think this episode is one of my favorite! I wish that you have a lot more episode left for Iran. I've never known Iran was like that. Everytime i saw people smiling and waving at your camera, it made me smile. I don't know why?☺️ Maybe i just felt the excitement and a genuine food review here on your channel. Not only focusing on food but for people and culture around you as well. 👏💯💕
