Lahijan Lake on a rainy day
Lahijan lake, a natural lake with an area of ​​17 hectares, which is located under the Sheytan kooh(mountain) and was previously called Darbasteh. This pool was built by the order of Shah Abbas Safavid. In the middle of this Lake, there is also an island. Shah Abbas, the Safavid king, built a huge palace there only to live in when he came to Lahijan. The water-filled pool and the royal residence together create an amazing view, a view that dazzles the eyes of every viewer. Of course, in recent years, with the creation of an artificial waterfall in the back of Shahneshin Mountain, as well as the construction of boulevards and beautiful resorts and other measures taken to beautify and improve this area, Lahijan has become one of the most important tourist centers in Iran.

قدم زدن در کنار استخر لاهیجان در هوای بارانی
استخر لاهیجان، استخری طبیعی به وسعت هفده هکتار که در زیر شیطان کوه قرار دارد و قبلا به آن دربسته می‌گفتند. این استخر را به دستورشاه عباس صفوی احداث شده است.در وسط این استخر، جزیره نیز وجود دارد. شاه عباس، پادشاه صفویان قصری عظیم درآن بنا کرده تنها برای سکونت خویشتن در اوقاتی که به لاهیجان می‌آمده. استخر پرآب و کوه شاه نشین با هم منظره ای شگفت انگیز را آفریده اند، منظره ای که چشم هر بیننده ای را خیره می‌کند. البته درسال های اخیر، با ایجاد آبشار مصنوعی در کمر کوه شاه نشین و همچنین احداث بلوار و استراحتگاه های بسیار زیبا و سایر تمهیداتی که درجهت زیباسازی و بهسازی این منطقه صورت گرفته، لاهیجان را به یکی از مراکز مهم توریستی ایران تبدیل کرده است
