iRacing's Lotus 49 has had a troubled history. Upon its original release it was a fun departure from iRacing's standard fare, but immediately the difficulty of keeping the car on the road and the almost alien-level reflexes required turned many away. Surely the Lotus 49, one of the most iconic F1 cars of all time couldn't have been so much of an untamed animal to wheel. With the 2021 Season 4 update, iRacing has completely redone the car, and it is quite exceptional! With the update its become a very fun car to drive and although finding speed is as challenging as ever, I can see myself participating in the races more often!
