"Iracing IMSA Endurance Serie at Watkins Glen/LMP2/160 minutes of Rain/

Ойындар

What can be greater than a 160 minutes rain race? One where half of it is "very wet", which is as worse as it can get in terms of grip I guess?
And someone asked if I could do more overlays: Of course I can. Most of them even have a purpose, more so in a team event, where the person not driving has an eye on it but while driving, my eyes are pointed straight to the middle.
00:00 Grid
02:07 Formation Lap
05:08 Green, Green, Green (Start of the race)
07:21 First massive error and after hitting a puddle on the last corner after an excellent first lap
07:53 Now I´m even behind some GT3 cars
09:12 Back last of my LMP2-Class, but five others are already in Pits
09:38 P15 again after two Laps, back on the Position I started
19:20 P10 after eight Laps, more to come, approaching the GT3 field
26:13 P6 and only 20 minutes into the race, ten Competitors did already gave up (finally time to fire up Crew Chief)
30:03 Still P6, being 3rd fastet in my class
32:50 Going for P5 and throwing it away in T1. Guess that curb was wet. P7
39:35 This fight for P6 is taking longer than expected with all the traffic
42:58 Aiming for P3 now
47:40 P3, into the pits for fresh rain tires and fuel ending my first stint, messing up pt entry completely. Track will only become wetter
01:01:00 That could have gone smoother...
01:17:29 The upcoming moment is basically ending my race for a podium. In hindsight P3 was almost secure, P2 entirely possible. Can´t really blame that guy, as you´ve seen I messed up my pit entry as well but thankfully didn´t take anyone with me. This time, I´m out of luck and you can see: I already used plenty!
01:25:35 Going back on track after over seven minutes repairs, losing three laps to the leader
I´m P8 at this point, will make it back tp P6. Other than that, watching this video further might be more painful than actually driving the remaining 80 minutes. This is endurance racing, so you never give up as bad things might still happening to the other participants. Especially in these kind of conditions.
