​@@cashout7822 They used to. Up to about 6 years ago (or so) NASCAR would let permit for drivers from different teams to share radio channels at restrictor plate tracks. It was pretty entertaining. The cars still have radios, but the drivers are only allowed to talk to their teams. Also, if you ever go to a race in person, you can (or at least you could the last time I went) bring a headset and channel surf all the different teams and listen in.

Leuel48Fan what shifter were you using, also when you assigned your shifter did it ask you for 6 gears or 4 gears because when I try to assign my shifter it asks me for 6. pls comment back

I am using the Logitech Shifter for G29/G920. Yes go ahead and set it up / assign all 6 gears + Reverse. Then depending on the type of racecar you are driving it'll adjust automatically. For example for a NASCAR stock car, only the first 4 gears are active. If you put the shifter in 5th or 6th, iRacing just puts your car in Neutral. Hope this helps!

For the ovals, the 'NASCAR track' is D K&N, C Trucks, B Xfinity, and A Cup. These series most of the time have multiple splits all day and evenings, and at least a field of cars even late into the night, past midnight. Tracks, simply look up the schedule of those series and buy the ones you believe you'll be competitive in. For me personally, I like large tracks such as Michigan, Daytona, Talladega, etc... but have also raced mile and halfs such as Kansas and Kentucky. Haven't done short tracks or road courses yet, but I will eventually. Good thing is you don't have to buy every track at once!

0:43 "why can no one in this series can drive?" I'm wondering the same EXACT thing. I'm a virtual driver racing diver and I'm very serious (but I don't explode into rage! Because Rage = Bad lap times and aggressive move = Last place. But it kills me trying to drive and having some 5 lapped sour person deciding to screw with everyone making it a nightmare. Wish in all racing games they could have a lobby for serious drives and another one for bad drivers or trolls.

Sim* NASCAR drivers can actually use iRacing as practice, for example when they go to a track that a driver hasn’t been on, the driver can do an iRacing practice session on that track and then when they go there in real life they know the grooves and stuff.

Few months at least. Got out of rookie in a couple of weeks, but that was just thru wreck avoidance and qualifying. Race craft comes with time, I keep getting better even years later. Practicing is the way to go. Good luck!
