This film means so much to me. It is everything to me. I only hope I can meet someone who will understand my love for this film and the magic that endures long after watching it.

Jason Guzman I just think, that this composition is so wonderful, because it sounds like it was played on sun rays. I like it even more than "concerto", because concerto is beautiful and imprortant. But the essence of Veronique's life is in rays, sun, rain and songs

I understand you. This movie means so much to me too. First time saw it in 1993 then 4 times again in 4 different countries. The soundtrack is a treasure to have. I tried to tell other people to watch this but never got the same rapport from anyone else. I'm glad I'm not alone

One of my top 10 films of all time. This man was a master. I consider his films with Iréne & Preisner to be the best ever...Rouge was just 99% perfect. Many of his films are just jaw dropping.

I first saw this film after purchasing the soundtrack by Preisner. One of the most beautiful scores in history in my opinion. I am not someone who watches foreign films much at all. This is one of only very few that I enjoyed but it became more powerful each time I saw it. After my bride passed 6 years ago film became sparse save for few that are powerful to me for reasons. I saw this just last year and it was a wonderful as ever. I love both characters and how they are the same and yet not at all. Strangely it has much that many films have such as intrigue, romance but becomes almost supernatural, to me at least, the defining essence of the film in my thought. Very hard to explain. I tend to write books when I am just writing a note. Love this interview! Irene is so beautiful and astounding in this role. One of my favorites ever.

Une grande actrice et une personnalité très attachante, qui n'a pas eu, du moins au cinéma, la carrière qu'elle méritait. Quant au film de Kieslowski, c'est l'une de ces rares œuvres qui sont habitées par un mystère supérieur.

I wonder will we ever get to see a lot of the cut scenes... In general, deleted scenes in films deserved to be deleted. But in this case they could be great...

Como he amado a ésta mujer. Siempre he pensado que es una mujer hermosa. Vi la película a los 14 años... Es difícil explicar el enamoramiento desde la imagen y la proyección artística de ésta musa.

Just a random observation - doesn't she look almost like a double/doppelganger of Jorja Fox, the actress who played the big role of Sarah Sidle in the ORIGINAL late 1990s/earliest 2000s CSI? The first one - Las Vegas - and her character ends up marrying the Asperger's genius but socially awkward boss scientist, Gil Grissom?

I must respectfully disagree. For one, I do not think that Jorja Fox is nearly as attractive as Irene Jacob; especially in that late 1990s to early 2000s time period. Moreover, Irene Jacob's face has a very distinctive profile (including an ever so slightly aqualine nose), which is really nothing like that of Jorja Fox and which, in case you are unaware, featured prominently to stunning effect in Kieslowski's film 'Three Colours: Red". However, I AM a man and so I readily concede that my opinion may well be influenced by some degree by unconscious preferential bias!
