This is considered a medium variant for Z9 series (it comes with a lower spec soc, lower ram & storage speed etc). The highest spec is under the Z9 Turbo but i think it's not carry in by either Vivo/Iqoo official. Btw, do you know what sort of protection they've used on the glass panel?

Dont know much about this specific phone yet but I've been rocking with my IQOO 12 for months now and here's my take on the downsides of this "brand" so far. (Everything I didn't mention means its good, great or simply perfect) 1. Lack of features - like most recent phones with their gimmicky features and AI capabilities etc...IQOO doesn't offer much features for us to play around. So you should expect an absolutely normal and simple phone experience. 2. Outdated UI - the software experience and stability overall is somewhat great and complete but in term of UI design, it looks like the phone is still in Android 10 era. 3. Boring customization option - the phone does offer a lot of customization options but most of them are simply bad, outdated-looking and too impractical. Other than these, the phone should be great.

Awesome phone, but I think I'll get the Redmi Turbo 3 (SD 8S Gen 3 with UFS 4.0) Although, I believe this is the cheapest 7 Gen 3 phone available in the market now.

Iqoo neo 8 is not official in Malaysia I think. Only official Iqoo smartphone will use Funtouch OS in Malaysia.

Origin OS is the Chinese ROM so you must have gotten the grey import unit and not the global version officially launched elsewhere. This model that he is talking about has just been officially launched in Malaysia.

Z9 Turbo hasn't released in MY yet. Only the export sets from China running OriginOS 4 are available through 3rd party sellers. I'd actually buy the Z9 Turbo if they released it locally with global ROM.
