Hey guys! So after I filmed this I found out that Ipsy and Boxycharm are merging! Ipsy bought out Boxycharm a while ago but now they are merging their subscriptions together! The Ipsy X will be replaced by what they are calling the Icon Box and the Ipsy Glam Bag Plus will now be Boxycharm. Are they going to continue to call any of their bags an “Ipsy bag”? Im not sure! And I dont know what is going to happen to the Ipsy base bag. If you guys have any more details let me know! Love ya 💖

The regular Glam Bag will still be a bag and stays the same... and yes, the GBP and Boxy's Base Box are merging to be "Boxycharm"; Boxy's Premium is going to be "BoxyCharm + Beauty Boost; & Boxy's Luxe Box and Ipsy's GBX are merging into the "Icon Box". Basically other than that, and having Mega Drop Shops in April, July, October & Jan (Boxy's quarterly bigger Drop Shop), and the new names, Ipsy stays essentially the same... but people used to Boxy will now get to experience more choices: 1) Ipsy actually follows quizzes/preferences - at least for GBP/GBX more than Boxy or the GB (imho), so 2) people will get choices that more or less match their preferences/quizzes instead of how Boxy ALWAYS only has 2(or sometimes more) items to chose from- for EVERYONE - for their base boxes & let's you choose 2 of your Luxe items from maybe 6 items... Ipsy is different that way and 3) With Ipsy and now, the merge, you will get to choose 3/5 items for your GBP/Base Box, aka "Boxycharm" and 3/8 items for the GBX/Luxe, aka Icon Box. Also, us Canadians now have access to Ipsy's sales, finally, as of March 1. We only just got access to GBP in the winter (like around Nov/Dec) and GBX this month... Personally, I have hope that after the merger, the boxes will be better - my experience over the past year with Boxy has been awful! They never follow my profile and I get so much stuff I don't want... I literally maybe liked 1-2, rarely more, items of the 5 in my base box or 8 in my Luxe. My GBP and 1st/last GBX both followed my profile a LOT more and I got products I will actually use and that I LIKE for a change! I love it! I honestly think we will have a better experience with our subscriptions, over-all, after the merger... at least once any kinks (and I expect a bunch at the beginning) are all ironed out... like I said, we get to choose more of our items, we get more options to choose from, and so many other positives... I'm actually excited to see the new Ipsy+Boxy subscription! I literally had decided to cancel my Boxy subscription after my Luxe box anyways, bc of how awful the boxes have been...

I'll bet they flagged it for the snap closure on the body suit and where it was located. Or something stupid like that. There was absolutely no content of that video that could be considered risque except maybe that? And that's a pretty big leap to be honest, but then again, they flagged another youtuber for content regarding her healed amputated leg and artifical limb. They later rescinded it, but the fact that they flagged it in the first place was ridiculous.

the only thing I can think, was at one point you can KIND OF BARELY see a nip poking thru the clothes w/ the onesie, but you'd have to be STARING at her chest the whole damn time. she even covers it with her arm. KZread will do anything to appease its advertisers 🙄

I think it would have been really cool for them to include the polish collabs Bailey made with Loud Lacquer in the boxes. I know those polishes are fairly popular and I think people getting the box specifically because Bailey curated it would have enjoyed that.

Yes. She also had a collab with IPSY on her Venice Beach ? Pallette. That would have been a nice option as well. This is the last Glam X if reading the new merge information correctly. I am kinda happy Bailey Sarian was the Curator for that and she has prior history with IPSY. Alexandria made a good point about Bailey's photo shoot and look vs. the Glam X contents. Lotsa nice items though. The Scott Barnes looked different and more appealing in this videos lighting too.

The way you are with rose scent, I am the same way with Lavender. It actually gives me a headache and nose issues. So I totally get how annoying it is to have all these cool things you want to use, but they all seem to have lavender in them! We could trade rose and lavender products LOL!

I think most lavender smells like black pepper. Occasionally some will be mixed with something else and it smells ok. Definitely don’t enjoy it on its own.

Lactic acid is super mild. It’s one of the most gentle AHAs and you can use it on sensitive skin. I’m an esthetician and when we did chemical peels in school, my overly sensitive hella reactive skin took lactic acid really well. Use sparingly if it makes you nervous 😊

Jesi Lyn, since you are an esthe, i have a quick (well, almost quick...) question, if you don't mind. My most bothersome skin issue is that I have had an ongoing problem with underboob & armpit irritation. I won't give you my whole routine lol, but i also use 2.5% benzoyl peroxide on my armpits instead of deo, applied 3/wk. thru trial + error, I discovered that lactic acid on another 3 nights/wk seemed to keep both areas irritation free, with good moisturizing practices & using dimethicone gel anytime I feel even a twinge of discomfort. Is this a reasonable use of lactic acid? I have tried many other things, lactic acid seems to work, and when I discontinued it, the irritation re-started. It is not a fungal problem. I just want to make sure it's not a big coincidence, since using an AHA to calm inflamed skin seems counterintuitive once I really think it through. I was using the Boots lactic acid, now am trying The Ordinary (just restarted last week after an 8 week hiatus). it seems to be helping, but I can still feel a constant mild itch under my bosoms lol. It never stings or intensifies the problem, tho.

I was told that lactic acid skincare products are safe to use during pregnancy because they're so mild. I'd occasionally use them if I had a REALLY bad breakout.

​@@montananerd8244 yeah, retinol and retinyl palmitate are off limits, benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid are thought by some to be safe but were strongly discouraged by my medical team, hydroquinone was to be avoided, chemical sunscreens, and certain essential oils in higher concentrations. Some women have been advised to avoid deodorants with aluminum but nothing was said to me about it. I used to use a low dose tretinoin cream but stopped when we started trying for a baby. Edit to add one that I forgot: licorice root. Not supposed to use skincare products with it or drink teas containing it while pregnant or breastfeeding. It can cause heart problems, cause premature labor, and some studies have tied it to ADHD and reduced IQ in kids whose mothers consumed it while pregnant or breastfeeding.

When my dad passed I went into Ulta and said I needed the best mascara to get myself through the funeral and they said the waterproof Better than Sex mascara is the best for that. It ended up being my go-to mascara for the next two years.

$45 dollar hair clips?!?! No ma'am, just bought an identical 3 pack from TJ Maxx for $5.99

So I just had to re start the first minute or so of this video 3 times because I realised I hadn’t listened to a word of it…. Made me have a thought that that’s part of why I love this channel as you never edit out or sugar coat moments of forgetfulness /clumsiness etc. As a somewhat privately chaotic /easily distracted type myself it makes me feel seen (as the tiktok kids would say) 😂 No shade meant here at all. Just grateful solidarity 🙏🧡

The Georgette Klinger coconut face mist is my favorite. Smells so good. I think Ipsy purposely sends you rose scented items as revenge for the videos. Lol

You can and definitely should use the Scott Barnes contour pallette as a neutral eyeshadow pallette! And IDK if anyone has mentioned it already, but he rose to fame as Jennifer Lopez's makeup artist (specifically for his glowy, bronzed skin look)

Lactic acids is really good for your skin! Just start out slow and build up use. I prefer chemical exfoliation than a physical one. It just makes my skin look amazing!

I was super disappointed with my box too! I felt the exact same way when I saw it was Bailey and I was ready for some vampy lips and fun eye shadows and then when I saw the options I was disappointed.

Use the lactic acid serum on your arms! It will really do wonders for your KP! I use one from the Ordinary on my face and wipe the remnants on my arms. It has made my arms so much softer!

I tried it for my KP and found out I was allergic to lactic acid cream! I'm trying salicylic acid now. I've read KP is supposed to go away by your 30s, but I'm 55 and it's as red as ever.

The larger clip will definitely help. I wear my hair in a claw clip like every single day, and honestly my hair is a lot healthier now because I feel like it’s less damaging than a ponytail and I don’t heat style my hair as often now 😊 Also you HAVE to try the Pat McGrath under eye powder! I keep seeing you mention that you have dry looking under eyes, and that powder will never let you look dry! Definitely worth the like $30, but sometimes you can get a percent off because she has deals often. ❤️

That liquid lipstick is a lie! I got mine in a different shade and it was just straight orange too. It didn’t last at all and definitely transferred. I also love Bailey and was sad there wasn’t more actual makeup in the boxes. I got mostly skincare products and one hair product.

The last box you got was almost exactly what I got and that palette is $54 a pop. I personally love purple on brown eyes but I play with ALOT of colored makeup so that's just a personal preference and Ather beauty makes beautiful eyeshadow some colors can be used as Highlighter, and Blush as well.

The Grown Alchemist cream is amazing. I am currently using a tube I got as a free gift, along with the repairing day cream.

Gaps between eye shadows can help people who are blind. Seeing how they do make up is amazing.

I got her box and was so underwhelmed for the same reason. I really expected dark colors and instead got skin care. Definitely a missed opportunity.

OK so I’ve been watching Bailey Sarian on KZread for at least three years solid. And not one of those items have I ever seen her talk about or list in her description below area. She’s been working with ipsy the entire time she has been on KZread because she has that opportunity. Where she lives is an ipsy studio and they allow you to go in and use their filming equipment. So, she’s been working with ipsy probably longer than Jen Luv has! I dropped tipsy about six months ago because I kept getting so many repeat items. And when I saw that last pallet come out, it made me feel a whole lot better about that decision. Considering that I actually got that pallet last year almost a year ago as a matter fact, in a regular ipsy box. Thank you for you! ❤

I have long hair and the hair oil pods contain more than they seem. It’s sooo good! I too wish the Truly body whip would have been a chocolate scent over a rose.

I bought three of those $58 Ipsy quarterly boxes. The third one was curated by Hasley. I got that purple eye shadow palette in the last box. It has been a few years since I canceled so my guess is that is one old ... palette. I believe it was worth about $52.

I use the claw clips that have a slight curve in the center. It helps when the claw is against your head. It kind forms to the back of your head!!

Alexanderia i used to have really thin hair and i’ve been using inkey list caffeine scalp treatment and it’s been making my hair grow so quickly and thick i bought a bottle for my mom and grandpa to try because i love it so much it’s also super adorable only 15 dollars. I totally recommend it

I prefer skincare I love getting makeup, too But, as someone who only changes her makeup Halloween 🦇, Christmas, and birthday,, I have enough eyeshadow, lipstick, mascara for a very large army 🤣

To keep any claw clips secure in the hair. You spray inside of clips with a little bit of hairspray. The same with Bobby pins.

Try doing the messy hair claw clip while your hair is natural in its curly form. Works amazing for thin curly hair

Hey Alexandria the pre shampoo wash is basically just a co wash for the hair people use them between wash days an/or right before shampooing to detangle the hair an make it soft. Hope this helps with how u can use it xo. Btw i absolutely love ur channel ur one of my favorite youtubers.

That REN cleansing milk is soooo good.

I use goat milk chap stick! I’ve been through every chap stick known to mankind in my 52 years and it’s AMAZING! I use goat milk lotion now and it’s fabulous, the Drunk Elephant lactic acid is phenomenal!! You were flagged for saying what we all feel? Absolutely mental. I’m sorry. *stop with the rose already! Ugh

I got that Lipstick Alexandria and it's actually very neutral nude and I believe you would like it if you tried it.

I absolutely love the grown alchemist night cream, and a little goes a long way. It will last you forever

I got the Ipsy box with the Rose Toner in it.. It actually is not a strong rose scent and smells nice. I have only ever used 2 products with Rose in them on my face (with this being 1 of the 2)... the 1st broke me out & this toner makes skin feel like it's burning. I have only been using this one 1 or 2 times a week and I have another serum toner I used directly after and it takes away the burn. But I can say it definitely does get your face clean Also, I got the makeup forever lip thing in a color that doesn't look good on my lips.... HOWEVER..... it works GREAT as a blush!!!

I acquired a super fancy YSL perfume a few years ago. But I hated it. It was rose and I tried and tried with it, but I couldn't deal with the scent. So I'm totally with you on that!

You should swatch the lipstick and see how it dries. A lot of times I’ve noticed that Makeup Forever liquids dry a different shade then it goes on. If that makes sense. It may look more like the sticker once dried. ❤

I agree about the boxes. I was disappointed about mine too. I hate rose scented stuff and everything was rose. Ugh!

I dont dye my hair or even use hairsprays and such so my hair is untreated by mostly anything other than shampoo and conditioner and a mask. But the for colored and treated hair products dont hurt anything. I clarified that with my hair dresser and she said its usually just non fading and moisture rich ingredients that will work for anyone who doesnt have super greasy hair. So long as its properly formulated color treated hair products are more of an advertising thing than any real concern

That Scott Burns palette looks a little cool toned to me and they do say you should contour with cool toned colors so maybe that's why those shades are in there

It's a gorgeous pallette. I picked that out as one of my three choices. I need help with colors and mostly matte looks for green eyes. Plums, pastels, navy, and browns are about it. Lol

If you want to try something like that body butter I reccomend the whipped cream by fortune cookie soap. They do lots of fun scents.
