Well played. Have a good summer! 💙P.S. Peachy I hope you take some time to learn how scores work, i.e. if you score more goals than the other team, you win. And for the record, Ipswich kept 15 (FIFTEEN) clean sheets this season and only conceded 3 goals directly from playing it out from the back (vs scoring 16 goals from Hladky playing the ball bravely/stupidly lol). All of the other goals were conceded because Ipswich were trying to win every game. Also, Ipswich were awarded just 3 penalties all season and scored only 3 deflected goals, both of which are a fraction of the luck of the other teams in the promotion race. Cheers!

As an Ipswich supporter, it is frustrating that people overlook the number of clean sheets we had, and we only failed to perform in three games, Leeds, Norwich and WBA away. For me, Leicester the strongest squad to ever get relegated, and Leicester, Southampton and Leeds the strongest trio to ever get relegated. We are the best TEAM in the Championship by a mile, and the most united squad, and the best togetherness I have seen in my 50 plus years supporting Ipswich In the end we only missed the title by one point

Hat tip for the great take and prediction, Dylan! 👏👏 To be fair to Justin, even the most optimistic Town fans, myself included, thought playoffs were the goal. But what a season! I loved every minute of it, with other than yesterday, my best moment being with my son at PR for 97th minute winner against Southampton. Best game I’ve seen there since Bolton playoff semi final win way back in 2000. In some ways will miss championship…but let’s hope we’re not back anytime soon. 😉 Anyway, thanks for the pod. It’s been a great listen 👍 🚜💙🔥⬆️

Ryan, I was expecting to see you out in Ipswich for the biggest party in England. Credit given for saying it all the way through the season that we were going up, more faith than me and most Ipswich fans. Huddersfield really didn’t put much effort in, very easy win. Their fans were brilliant, plenty of them stayed for the party. Impressive that 9 of the starting 11 yesterday were with us last season. Only Axel and Omari that were new additions. Expecting a summer with plenty of business, go and poach players from teams that don’t go up, wouldn’t mind Harwood-Bellis or Rodon. Or maybe take Sara and Sargent from Norwich. Good that it wasn’t two parachute teams going straight up via autos.

When it comes to the awards, POTS for me has to be Sammie Szmodics. KDH and Summerville were great, many in the Ipswich team in with a shout too. But I feel like he single handeldy kept his team up and with 3 goals against the Champions across 2 games, he showed he can do it against the top teams.

Birmingham's mismanaged is one of the most baffling thing I have witnessed. Eustace didn't play the best football, but he galvanised the club like it has never been seen, improved players up to a point and, 6th was there to be competed with. The owners just thrown out of that whole thing out of the window. AND the club do have good players, A club with likes of Buchanan, Miyoshi, Stansfield, Dembele should not be relegated. What a shambles.

Great stuff guys Ipswich are like predators it doesn't matter if you let a team score 2 cos we always scored three, going to be very interesting town fans think we need at least 4_6 in

Obviously appointing Rooney was the main factor. Massively unfortunate losing Mowbray. Reckon he would have kept us up. Should have really replaced Venus sooner as his run was a shocker. A lot of players out of contract, so can hopefully have a good rebuild in the summer. Anyways. Hopefully see you in a year. Up the Blues 💙

Tyler Roberts Ethan Laird Dion Sanderson (C) Andre Dozzell All lacked fight for when they played for QPR and when they all ended up at Birmingham - I thought QPR would overtake them and they’d do well to avoid the drop. They ‘look good’ from a stats/FM/FIFA perspective but the players have to look at themselves.

I am concerned about Birmingham. Don't get me wrong, relegation to L1 would have been a real disaster, possibly fatal, under Trillion or the money launderer, but with the Yanks there is still some hope. Right now WHO is going to chasing / signing players? Rowett's contract is complete. TonyM is still sidelined and the poison that is Garry Cook is still at the club. What are we going to offer them, a free NFL helmet? Auto promotion is a pipedream, but we might just scrape in. #KRO #SOTV #FAA.

I cannot fathom how the hell Brum went down.Squad wise it was mid table at worst ,reminds me of Ipswich when they went down ,more to do with the back room and managerial shambles than the squad. If the structure at the top is a mess .it trickles down to the squad and the fans big time.

It's pretty obvious Rovers would have been relegated without Sammi Szo. Even if he was out just for the final day fixture, they might have been relegated. Wonder what happened to Sam Gallagher tho. He was a great player for their attack last season, but is now nearly surplus to requirements.

Since Rooney was sacked only Rotherham picked up less points. Venus being in charge for 6 games and getting only one point didn't help. Over 46 games we got what we deserved. We have 15 players leaving so next season is going to be very interesting.

Justin Peach fails to analyse the goals conceded in ANY detail, as we only conceded 25 in the 23 league games away from home, and had the second best away record overall int he league. In terms of goals conceded, Leicester 23 and Sunderland with 24 were the only teams conceding fewer. We actually had the BEST home record in the Championship, although we conceded 32 goals at home, the fifth worst, and it is this, which makes the overall defence look 'dodgy' We actually scored 59 goals at home in 23 games, which is remarkable . So Justin, please look at the facts prior to making silly and unsubstantiated comments

Hopefully Chelsea allow Hutchinson to stay at Ipswich. Even with him staying, they still need an experienced, and quality cb on the ball, to teach Woolfenden and Burgess how to win headers in defensive set pieces. Without such an incoming player, they wont stay up for long.
