अवसाद के बढ़ते लक्षणों के लिए एंटी-डिप्रेसेंट दवाओं को इलाज के तौर पर दिया जाता है. लेकिन वे कितनी कारगर हैं, यह अब भी बहस का विषय है. यह हम जानते हैं कि हल्के से मध्यम डिप्रेशन के मामलों में प्लेसीबो उतना ही प्रभावी हो सकता है, जितनी ये दवाएं. फिर भी 1990 के दशक की तुलना में, जर्मनी में अवसाद के लिए दवा दिए जाने की संभावना आठ गुना बढ़ चुकी है.
2008 में बड़े पैमाने पर हुए एक अध्ययन से पता चला कि हल्के और मध्यम अवसाद के मामलों में प्लेसीबो एंटी-डिप्रेसेंट दवाओं जितना ही प्रभावी था. लेकिन फिर भी, हर साल डॉक्टर इतनी एंटी-डिप्रेसेंट दवाएं लिखते हैं कि जर्मनी के 8 करोड़ लोगों को दो हफ्ते तक दवा देने का कोटा पूरा हो जाए.
तो, मरीजों पर इसका क्या प्रभाव पड़ता है? ऐसी विवादास्पद दवाएं इतनी सफल कैसे हैं?
“कई सालों से, अवसाद से निपटने की प्रक्रिया में दवाएं मेरी वफादार साथी रही हैं." 52 साल की क्रिस्टीने ने अवसाद के कारण अपनी नौकरी खो दी, सात बार मनोरोग क्लीनिक गईं और आज कहती हैं, "मुझे परवाह नहीं है कि अध्ययन क्या कहते हैं, मुझे लगता है कि मेरी दवा काम कर रही है.”
ज्यादातर एंटी-डिप्रेसेंट दवाएं दिमाग के कुछ न्यूरोट्रांसमीटरों के स्तर को बदल देती हैं, खास तौर पर सेरोटोनिन को. हालांकि, लंबे समय तक यह माना जाता था कि अवसाद सेरोटोनिन के कम हो जाने के कारण होता है. यह सिद्धांत अब गलत साबित हो गया है. डॉक्टर और वैज्ञानिक अभी भी यह नहीं समझ पाए हैं कि अवसाद के दौरान मस्तिष्क में क्या होता है लेकिन इससे एंटी-डिप्रेसेंट दवाओं की बढ़ती बिक्री में कोई कमी नहीं आई.
42 वर्षीय मैरी उस दिन को कोसती हैं जब उन्होंने एंटी-डिप्रेसेंट लेना शुरू किया. वह कहती हैं, "उन्होंने मेरे जीवन को बेहतर नहीं किया बल्कि इसे और खराब कर दिया है.” मैरी चार सालों में धीरे-धीरे अपनी खुराक कम कर रही हैं, लेकिन उसका शरीर साथ नहीं दे रहा है. जर्मनी में एंटी-डिप्रेसेंट के प्रमुख विशेषज्ञों में से एक, प्रोफेसर टॉम बशॉर कहते हैं, "अब तक, इन समस्याओं को पूरी तरह से कम करके आंका गया है."

    Depression kabhi ye nahi dekhata insan achha hai ya bura zindagi barbad karke rakh deta hai. Bhale hi depression over ho chuka hu, brain disorders nahi. Raat ko neend nahi aati. Baar baar bukhar hota hai. Sar dard karta hai. Fake memory, anxiety, extreme mood, restlessness, hopeless, nightmares, excessive nostalgia, guilt, painic attacks are very common in me.

    नही ऐसा नहीं है। निकल सकते हैं। पर यदि दवाई ली तो मस्तिष्क को वो सुन्न कर देती है। और दवा छोड़ दें ने के बाद भी मस्तिष्क धीमा और भावना विहीन हो जाता है। मेरे साथ ऐसा हो चुका है। मुझे एक्सरसाइज और कठिन योग का सहारा लेना चाहिए था। पर मैने गलती कर दी।

    अगर आप हमेशा उदास रहते है तो ध्यान रखे ये डिप्रेशन की तरफ ले जाता है या फिर आप अपनी किसी कामयाबी को सोच कर बार बार बहुत खुश होते हैं तो ये दोनो चीजों में मन बेचैन होता है जो डिप्रेशन की तरफ ले जाता हैं क्योंकि डिप्रेशन का मतलब मन की अशांति 😢😢😢

    हर इंसान सिर्फ इसलिए अवसाद मे पहुंच जाता है कोई काम जो वह करना चाहता है न कर पाए और हो जैसा वह चाहे, हमे किसी भी परिस्थित मे धीरे धीरे कोई भी काम करना है खुद पर भरोसा रखना है गुस्सा करना और ज़्यादा भीड़ से दूर रहते हुए अपने काम को धीरे धीरे पूरा करने की बस कोशिश करनी है देखना अवसाद बहुत जल्द ठीक होगा।

    Science is great. I'm thinking of taking medicine with advice of expert. Being a suffered from chronical depression for 10 years, no meditation, yoga etc is working for me. Rather more I try, it gets worse. I become aggressive most of the time on small things. My family don't understand my situation. Hope these medications would give me a new life.

    Don't worry, i have also completed 10 years taking antidepressants. With the hope of everything fill be fine one day. And my hope worked. Keep hope change lifestyle, slowly slowly slowly you wiill back to normal and confident life. Keep hope its, try to leave everything for six month. Laugh force fully, crack jokes.     Depression का मूल कारण आध्यात्म की समझ का कम होना है। Life में clarity का न होना भी एक मूल कारण है। ज्यादातर लोगों को जो चाहिए होता है और वो नही मिलता तो वो depress feel करते है। सही आध्यात्म की समझ eye opener जैसी होती है इसलिए मेरा ये अनुभव है की आध्यात्मिक मन हर तरह के डर से हमको लड़ने की ताकत देता है और depression जेसी समस्या हमे प्रभावित नही करती। धन्यवाद।

    I am still taking these medicine in 2023 and getting its benefit. I started it in 2016 and its 2023 getting prison of this antidepressants but can't do anything because whenever i tried to stop it i was in fear of getting symptoms back because i always feeling happy, full of guts, full of emotions and environmental friendly. Last I would say if it is effective then what is harm to take them aside of its side effects

    How are you doing now bro? I am on antidepressants since the last 2 years and I was feeling really good...so my doctor slowly and slowly reduced dosage to the minimum. But suddenly 4 days ago I started experiencing relapses, I became sad and hopeless from within. Tomorrow visiting my doctor to talk about increasing dosage may be.
