The only problem is that Apple usually creates the trends. So even if you don't buy the phone they set the standard. So far I don't like the $1,000 price point that is becoming the norm for most flagships. But "you have to pay to play" with the big boys.

I have zero issues with this screen, it’s super responsive and looks great. Battery life is super awesome and I came from an iPhone 8. The camera experience is night and day!

@@donovanbishop5811 not really much. For some people it would. Fx you can only watch up to 720p on youtube and not 1080p. For me thats a big deal. And its and lcd like most of the ceaper phones on the market. I would recomendt the s10 or the oneplus 7 pro But if you want to have an apple i think you should give a little more and get an iphone x instead.

The main two problems with this phones screen is watching videos and playing games. You can not notice any major difference between super resolution o-led panels and this phones ips panel while using social media, texting, or web browsing. But gaming and enjoying the videos... Nah, it is really bad experience compared to other smart phones.

Look at the XR in an Apple store lined up beside them all and you can't really tell any difference. I downgraded yesterday from a top of the line flagship Android phone to the XR 128gb. Regardless of the spec downgrade for the first time in nearly 5 years, I have a phone that works and a phone with the latest Apple processor and it simply works. I can finally use my phone and not have to worry about the countless hours of BS.. overheating and the millions of others problems that come along with Android. I'm happy! this is my first trip back to Apple since I jump ship after my iPhone 4. I can honestly say it feels good to be back home, no more BS. I'm not a tech nerd or pixel peeper so the XR hits right at the sweet spot for me.

my gf went back to apple from 2 androids back to back and is much happier! apple are easy to use and rarely go wrong. her Samsung got red hot a few times, and one day received texts as a garbled computer code. Apple are high on price but I find they last longer. My daughter is using my 6 which is now 4 years old. I'm going to buy a product red XR for myself and hand off my 7 to my daughter.

Seriously friend, I watch your videos all the time, but the XR is not a "budget" smartphone. Walking in Apple store today and the screen is poor for 750usd also it's heavy and those bezels ate too thick. Should have gone with a A11 chip and a 1080p screen.

Sorry Nick Ackerman, I usually agree with you - But for an $800 phone, I expect at least a 1080p display. $800 is not cheap or even moderately priced. The One Plus 6 is $600 and has a higher res. screen! It is also way faster than all the new iphones. You dropped the ball in this one bro.

The screen on the XR looks amazing much better than the 7+ I’ve had for two years. And it has a iPhone XS design and processor with an improved Back and front camera truly a great update. Don’t forgot the full upgrade of the camera technology.

This phone is perfect for me, except for the lack of 3D Touch.

Now, what if you don't want to pay Rs 1 lakh for the new iPhone? In that case, you should take a look at the iPhone XR. While this is the "cheap" iPhone this year, with starting price of Rs 76,900, it is not cheap by any measure and it doesn't not look cheap from any angle. Its design has the bits that make an iPhone premium and classy. If you have used the iPhone 8, you will find the iPhone XR very familiar. This is because it uses the same Series 7000 aluminium frame and similar glass cover. But it's bigger, although not as big as the iPhone 8 Plus. The iPhone XR uses a 6.1-inch LCD screen, which to me looks as good as any phone's screen. It's bright, shows vibrant colours and doesn't look inferior in any perceptible way compared to the iPhone XS screen.

In the Netherlands the Xr starts at 860 euro for the base model while both the Note 9 and last years iPhone X are at 900 euro for their base models. I personally feel like the Xr should be priced lower for it to be appealing. I would much rather get an iPhone 8 plus or an iPhone X for the higher res display, dual camera, OLED , stainless steel and slimmer bezels (in case of the iPhone X) and 3D touch over the iPhone Xr. Its a good phone for people that dont care about the screen but for me personally i feel like u can get a much better value for your money in last year's iPhones, at least when looking at the prices in Euro. But that's just me.

Great video loved that you compared the iPhone 8 product red to the iPhone XR product red.

I just got the phone and I’m struggling to see where the short cuts where made in this phone. I think is a good phone if it was 50-80 dollars cheaper it would probably take over as the best budget phone you could buy. Love the size and feel of it. Just a good phone all around. Keep in mind I’m coming from an iPhone X and I don’t miss the screen at all.

Tommy Degreorio I had a X as well. These tech nerds going off about PPI and such just like to troll. In person this phone is fantastic and there is a nominal difference from the X to the XR in terms of screen. I had an 8 plus in between and one big thing I notice since I went back to LCD is the lack of eye strain and headaches the Oled caused me.

Keeping my 7+ for another year. The flagship iPhones aren’t worth the change, the XR isn’t worth it for me either. But hey, that’s my personal preference! 🤷🏽‍♂️

Sebastian Lorduy if you take a lot of photos then go for it, but PERSONALLY I don’t take too many photos and if I do then they’re mostly during the day so my 7+ does just fine. But like I said, if you prefer getting a new phone because of its camera then go for it! :)

Watching on my XR 128gb blue got mine today

Really want an XR, but since its 1100 bucks in Hungary, its a nono for me. Sticking with the 6s, and later down the road, will cop one. Still dont know about the color. BlackOnDeck, FerrariRed, or SwimmingPoolBlue 🤔 ( I dont have any red stuff apart from my bomber jacket, but the blue is a bit light for my tastes, and the black looks like Space GREY🙄)

They should have named their red iPhone Mars. Missed opportunities... 😢

LCD displays are ok but the resolution of this display and pixel density are low (820p, 329 ppi) which sucks U cant play 1080 p videos and the pixels are visible

I could notice the differences easily. Doesnt matter to me tho because im going back to lcd. oled strains my eyes. Im currently using an ipad more than my Samsung phone (w/c always has the blue light filter turned on) for media consumption. Also lcd is cheaper to repair

Any dollars they “saved” by “cheaping” on the display will be negated by the cost markup required to produce a panel of custom resolution. A XR with 1080p screen will be indistinguishable from a 828p one, that’s the whole point of retina. But by going with a 1080p panel, there will be a noticeable reduction in battery life, so I agree with Apple’s decision here.

The only reason you can get other phones at a cheaper cost is because other companies sell all of your personal information. You can get a phone with a supposed better display for a cheaper monetary cost but your personal information will be sold to the highest bidder. 95% of people will never even notice the difference in the quality of the screen so it’s a spec that shouldn’t really matter but the haters need something to pick on. When you look at a computer the spec that is important is the speed and power and unfortunately to the haters iPhone is the fastest and most powerful and that’s what you pay for.

tamboyistheman iPhone 8 starting at $699 last year with the same ppi but smaller screen, while iPhone XR cost $50 more with same ppi but bigger full screen display with round edge. I don’t understand how they could’ve made a 1080p screen at $749 when it’s even cheaper than iPhone 8 Plus that cost $799 when launched. Let alone Face ID, A12 bionic chip, dual sim, and better camera. If Apple really want to put 1080p on XR, it definitely going to cost more than iPhone 8 plus launching price, and you all going to rant about the price again.

Download the camera app Halide. I use it on any non-human subjects and works surprisingly well. The XR is an incredible phone 📱

Since you made the argument that iPhones last a long time and get iOS updates. I would buy the XS. While $250 is real money, spread over 3 or 4 years it might be worth it for the better display, camera, and build.

@@Alfonsorivas12 I have the s9 plus and hate it. The phone constantly locks up and a lot of my apps crash causing me to have to restart plus the finger print reader stopped working this week. I had an iPhone x and did not like it but had a iPhone 7 plus and loved it. I think the xr will be a good choice. Android has too many issues.

Hey nick, recently I am really tempted to make a jump into iOS ecosystem. Coming from a Galaxy Note 9, do you think it is advisable to get the XR? I am really attracted to the product red color tho.

I love the XR red. I have a 7 and I wanted to upgrade to the XS but now I will buy the XR. BEAUTIFUL iPhone!

As a matter of fact, seen in person the Xr feels more premium than Xs... Sorry guys but form factor and aluminum is much much more modern than steel! The white Xr is simply amazing ... And even the (single ) camera in Normal mode takes better pics than Xs ... ;)

I still think the price is to expensive for a “budgetphone” 😒

It was never marketed as a budget phone it was marketed as a cheaper phone than a higher end x/xs/xs max

I have the 7 Plus so would this be worth upgrading to this phone or wait until next year?

This phone still costs 900€ in my country. That's not a "budget" phone at all.

Crimson Harry actually the best camera in a phone is the huawei mate 20 pro. Im guessing you didnt do any research or go onto dxomark before making this claim you just wanted something to justify your purchase of a terrible overpriced phone

Death089100 but its not an opinion on dxomark the mate 20 pro is literally the best camera on a smartphone, its like me saying "the ford focus is the fastest car in the world" and then saying thats an opinion so you cant say im wrong

@@pingkydbno9858 no the screen can only reproduce 820 p so its betwenn 720 and 1080 since there is no 820 p option youtube went with 1080 Its like watching 1080 on a 480 p laptop The CPU and GPU will render the quality but u wont be able to see it due to the display limitation
