The small screen is a selling point for me. I have really small hands and struggle with phones as “small” as 5,5” I also love that you get major OS updates for 5-6 years :)

@Itzgreytonic looks really dont matter to me, its just a phone. battery is easily replaceable after 2-3 years for around $40 at a store, or $25 if you wanna do it yourself. no need to consume for the sake of consuming.

@Itzgreytonic Haha! Old one, don't care for phones much so I have an iPhone6 that wouldn't handle the updates well. Plus i've heard recent updates are less privacy friendly.

This reminds me of Sony. If Sony could use a standard 5.5inch 16:9 display with very slim bezels, I think it would be a hit since most videos fit well on 16:9 plus if Sony could use the old sony design.

Is it worth being with apple rather than samsung as samsung don't give software updates on any phone over 4 years old but apple do up to 6 years . Is this an issue . Does anyone have any info please .

It’s nice to see/hear someone honestly review the more and more frequently buggy performance and completely gash battery life (99% likely due to software power management as new problems magically appear with each new iOS release). These issues could easily be proven to be iOS related if users had the ability to revert to older iOS versions (if apple gave a toss).

I love your videos. I moved from P30 pro to Se 2 due to smaller size. Kept accidentally dropping my P30 pro. I am very happy with it. I also don’t do social media or games. Just use it for photos and emails. I move in and out of Apple to android phones and back. So always changing phones.I use Google Photos for storage. Keep up with your videos.

I have never quite understood why reviewers pick on a product that is clearly not designed for them, and then they take a dump on it like it’s the worst thing ever made. I would never buy the SE for myself but it is the PERFECT phone for my mum who is looking to upgrade from her old iPhone 6. Like, there is not even a close second on her consideration set. It’s not about the Apple ecosystem. It’s about familiarity.

Tell me about the battery performance?

Love watching your vids on everything you review or unbox. Never really been an Apple kind of person. I had a iPod Touch about 11 or 12 years ago or more, whenever they were a big thing. Apple may have ushered in the smartphone era but Android devices certainly took the crown afterwards.

I got the SE (2020) 3 months ago and I never had crashing issues with any app, screen is pretty good too at this size. Battery life is the only thing I hate about it.

I went from a IPhone 5C to a larger Samsung S7 (I think) and once you go to a bigger screen, going back to a smaller screen is just a no-no. And now that Android is just a nice experience and generally as good and less complicated than iOS, it would be difficult for me to justify the price of a single lens iPhone 11 or something. I'll stick to my Huawei P30 Pro thanks, the best phone I've ever had by a country mile....

I went from a Nexus 6P to an old Samsung A5 (temp phone) and was really surprised to find I love having a smaller lighter phone so defintely not a no-no, just different strokes for different folks.

The beginning of the review is epic

Agree on most complaints. Buy iCloud storage instead of paying mucho dineros for the expensive internal storage. (I have Huawei smart P at work and Xs Max for private use)

Your review is spot on. I wouldn’t recommend this phone unless someone must have iOS and they only need a smartphone to make calls, FaceTime, and text.

You never mention anything about water resistance fast charging and storage

Good review mate , and as someone with quiet large clumsy mitts who always has trouble typing or doing anything of precision on almost any thing less than a huge a phablet or tablet , that bit where you where trying to pick between the links i pissed meself laughing :) .

Great review, well presented and full of humour !

The worst thing is the haptic home button. They make a button that doesn't click so they make a fake click you cannot turn off. It is like designing a really quiet door with rubber bumpers, seals and quiet hinges then installing a speaker you cannot turn off which plays a squeak and a slam. Idiocy of the highest order.

I feel like upgradig to this phone from the original SE which I currently have and love to use, but I feel like the new SE is a bit big :'D (ironically). I would literally still be happy with a 4" screen, but the lack of storage (16 GB) and the now worn out battery and soon-to-be outdated hardware is causing too much trouble.

You'd be better off with a newer FitBit or something like that. Apple Watch will work with Android and Galaxy Watch will work with iOS but it will be really limited; I've had a Galaxy Watch with an Apple phone before and had an Apple Watch with an Android phone, and the limitations are annoying, you'll never get one of them to work perfectly with both platforms.

Nice review, but you didn't mention the buggy fingerprint reader. Is that just my experience? For me sometimes it just refuses to work and I have to type in the pin instead. Really frustrating.

You can add a Sandisk iXpand pendrive for more (and portable) storage.

Had both, think 20, pro, but obviously there is some issues with Huawei/ Google, SE, is nice , I personally prefer, Android , to i ,os. Some people may disagree, im sure, but that's just,me. Both good phones. At the moment I've got, Galaxy Note 10. Nice. 👍😉🇬🇧

He said it perfectly. Phones are too big these days plus that edge to edge display clicks the buttons that you don't wanna click. Need atleast 2 hands to operate one phone.

3:53 yes, that's my face everytime using iOS, don't know why still alive....even so, still the only devices I'm interesting on just because of size.

I can't wait for your 2022 SE review -so I can decide if it's almost as good as the 13 mini. :)

I'm sure you've had some by now. I guess the pandemic is giving some developers a difficult time optimizing the phones with frequent updates. Iphones have been getting pretty glitchy. Not insanely glitchy but it's there.

@@garypayne4284 kinda weird. Apps keep crashing at random moments of the week. I got a Oneplus phone and it rarely crashes. Maybe your android phone was some cheap $200 phone.
