I utilized the screen mirroring with my iPhone connected to Mac, but for some reason when I rotate my phone it doesn't switch to portrait and landscape mode. Any suggestions on why my iPhone isn't switching to those different modes? Basically my iPhone won't switch to horizontal.

Really wish you would've taken a look at lag issues especially considering some of us watched this whole video in hopes to mirror to a separate device with 0 latency. What would you recommend for this use case or do you have another video on it? Keep in mind, even the wired connections I've tried (QuickTime for example) still produce too much latency to be a viable gaming solution.

I Justin thank you for your useful guide all works good with plug and QuickTime but with iOS 13.4.1 and iPhone 11 the mirroring don't switch automatically between Portrait and Landscape, It still remains on portrait on my Mac Monitor. Is there some solutions for this issue? Thank you

Thanks for including the pros and cons for each type all in one video so that it’s easy for a beginner like myself to tell the differences and decide which one to use without having to watch multiple videos and getting super confused. Plus I won’t even know exactly what to search up if I had to do it myself. I’ll probably miss a few techniques that available out there.

I wanted to mirror my iPhone to my Sony mini projector MP-CLA1. Can’t seem to do it. Have to use Apple TV plugged into the wall and with HDMI cable to MP. Will reflector or air server apps resolve this?

Really helpful video. I did encounter an issue though when I screen mirror using cable and quicktime: When I start recording on my phone, the screen mirroring freezes 3 seconds into the video however the phone is still recording. Once I stop recording the screen mirroring starts working again. Have you ever encountered this?

When I rotate my iPhone 8 it doesn't rotate on my Mac Book 2015. Is this an issue for everyone or just me? Is there something I can do to fix it? I know I have an old computer and phone but this is all I have right now so I have to work with it until I can upgrade. Tips?

Hey Justin I just got a new MacBookPro (iOS 10.14.6 Mojave). I also have and iPhoneX (iOS 13.1.1.2) both have ALL current iOS updates. The problem I'm having is that my iPhone safari browser is showing up on my laptop. When I swipe upper left corner to get to iPhone settings and got to screen mirror....a grey screen comes up and say screen mirror, but I'm just getting a spinning wheel...it's not showing my laptop so that I can disconnect. I thought it was iOS update issue, but still no luck. Thanks for any help.

Wow, Justin! Thanks for sharing all this. I didn't know I could record my phone; and I even already have Quicktime! I have a new iMac 17" and the phone looks just beautiful on it! I'll have to shrink it for using in regular videos, but it looks gorgeous! Once in a while I've thought about phone demos in the past, but now it's worth the effort and I can actually do it!

I am on a Windows based PC and am looking at using Reflector to do some recording of my iPhone to create videos for clients on how to use various Smart Home Apps. Is it possible to place the recording into an actual phone image (ie: shell like graphic of the iPhone) so the screen looks like it is on the phone itself? Thank you

justin i downloaded & installed reflecter 3 to windows 7 pc set it all up but all i get is a black iphone screen no mirror of it ? if i record then i can see my iphone but i want live mirror what am i doing wrong my friend ? help trail version by the way

I'm having the same issue! I pull up QuickTime, have it mirroring my phone, but the window doesn't rotate with my phone. It's really annoying and I haven't been able to find a single answer online as to why. My screen orientation isn't locked, so I don't know what else it could be.

My phone was not showing, so I restarted it and my mac and it's working now.

I don't have an option or suggestion for you to mirror 3 at once.. but you could try reflector

In a previous video, you say to use your PC's 'Connect' app. I just spent an hour trying to make it work. Is that why you switched gears with the advice in this video?

Thanks Justin! You put this video together pretty well, so much so that you have encouraged me to try out Reflector. It's also not expensive. I certainly hope I will find success with Reflector. I could literally scream from frustration from trying to get other things to work, taking several Android devices (phone, tablet etc.) and installing host-and-client apps from all over the entire world and still nothing works. Having batteries die on me is one thing and easily addressed, but to have wireless devices cut connection with your laptop when you don't want to supervise them is beyond frustrating. Thanks again and I hope to taste success with Reflector!

We found a solution: go to text messages, for example, rotate your phone to landscape mode and lock the screen (pull down options to lock down the screen) - go back to the camera app and now the mirroring in Quicktime should be in landscape mode. Hope that helps.

Hi, I need ur help, my tv is the latest is Philips 43 and iphone x but I can't connect, is the same wifi . I use screen mirroring but doesn't work!!

Question for the community, I chose the Reflector route because it is the closest option to my needs. Live image from iphone appears great with minimum latency, EXCEPT after I hit the record button, the latency became 5+ seconds which defeats the purpose of mirroring my IOS device. I tested this issue on two separate (fast/professional) networks, issue is ongoing. Does anyone has any work around on this one?

Is there a way to control your main phone from the mirrored one?
