how i can develop that type of android application?

Yeah the watch is clutch but not really contact less if you have to touch it to the reader. When I use Apple Pay I don't have to touch the phone or watch to the NFC reader. This will be great if we can use this with smart locks that also have finger print sensors and don't require AA batteries every 6 months.

Great but there is a very big BUT if I can not keep the power on in the room while my phone is charging and i am out on the town this is just a vaste of time.

Less than 1% would left the phone inside and also is optional, you can also get a normal plastic key instead of that

And how would they even be able to use THEIR phone as your key, when they would have to register the key card into THEIR phones before being able to use it?

Welp Even before this, “hackers” can code their way into anything electronic related. But no need to worry apple isn’t super easy to “hack” into.

It seems convenient and easy to use, but has a downside as well. what if you lost your phone at the hotel or nearby the hotel, or someone stole your phone while staying at the hotel. Does the criminal now have access to your hotel room since they now have your phone with your room key on the phone since your phone screen is now unlocked? What about also if your phone battery dies and you can't turn it back on because it needs to be recharged and you don't have a charger on you? You can't use the phone/room key anymore right?

all your fears can be also with old card , so , the possibility to lose your phone very rare comparing to lose hotel card . and in any case you go to front desk to solve any problem faced you

Turn off the "express travel" button so that your iPhone requires your Face ID or Touch ID to authorize the key.

Apple Pay hasn't been hacked and it's been around a few years now. More secure than those plastic contactless room keys.

hmm, not familiar with the nfc cards and duplicators? at least apple requires an apple id, an apple device and a password to unlock a door.

Way more secure than plastic key cards. Apple Pay has been reputable since it launched so your just being overly speculative.
