No... companies aren't going to start getting rid of the head phone jacks. The ONLY reason Apple did so was a marketing scheme to sell more accessories. The adapter, their overpriced Bluetooth headphones, splitters, etc...

*Top post: the scratches are not from my ring! They are vertical scratches scaling the entire right back side of the phone, as if someone scooted it across a table. My ring caused no scratches. I was careful. And anyway scratches from my ring would probably have been tiny scuffs, not deeper vertical slits*

The jet black iPhone 7+ is the one I want also. Can't decide whether to upgrade from my 6 now or wait til the 7S+... Either way, love the jet black and I think when I do I'll get Zagg Invisible Shield full body protection then the fingerprints won't be as big an issue.

When I first saw the Jet Black iPhone I thought it was the best looking piece of kit I'd ever seen. That continuos sheen just screams class to me. I was initially looking to pre-order it right away, but as it sold out so fast I missed it. This probably worked out for the best, because there was no way I could live with even the tiniest scratch within an hour of taking it out the box. So I think it's probably wise to go for regular Black, which to be fair still looks very nice. Personally I'm surprised they ditched space grey - it was very well received when it first arrived on the iPhone 5s so it's surprising to see them return to the more uniform style of the iPhone 5 in Black.

no, got my replacement yesterday, but there was a mix-up at the T-Mobile store, I was actually their very first exchange and I ended up with the coral blue... which is fine I guess, there are aspects i like about it but the black was sleek... first world problems I know

the blue coral is OK...I like that it constantly appears to change colors depending on the lighting... but that black was just sexy... the main diff I notice between this and the last one is that the battery life seems to be worse on this one

I have had mine for a month and it is truly the best design ever over glass. I have been an iPhone owner since 4 which is still my favorite only because the glass is less scratch resistant but still have that shine so they are getting close to the 4 design and I know the cost has to be high if they do this with the 8 but the jet black 7 plus is beautiful and fast. I never owned a case on iPhones why cover beauty or don't buy. My trick is I never really clean my jet black and leave as is daily and people still love to hold and use mine. If they go ba k to the glass with stainless and those nice round buttons like 4s in a plus would be the best phone ever built

Lots of people say ohh the jet black easily smudges bla bla bla. What i say to that, WEAR A CASE 🤦‍♂️

it looks amazing doesn't it? its black and new old design. I have x2 phones. iPhone 7 plus 256gb in abyss black and special edition 514TB "tiger skin golden child" iPhone 7.3 squared the black one is kept in a child carrier harness on my chest and the gold one is kept in a special implanted side compartment that I got surgically applied to my thigh which opens when I need the phone, like robocops gun compartment(i copied the idea). apple just make amazing products. its up to you to protect them.

I hope they keep the bezels or don't trim them too much. I used an S7 edge and I couldn't stop hitting the screen edges by accident. Bezels are seriously underrated for a productive phone, not a kid's phone.

Not an iPhone fan, but the gloss black plus is definitely the one to get. The gloss finish is the best looking iPhone since the 4, it not only hides the antenna bands, but almost blends into the glass. Also as you say, it's much less slippery to hold. I think I'd probably keep it in a minimal case though, one that just covers the back and corners.
