Does a ripped ribbon cable affect the ear speaker too? because it seems like the ear speaker is not attached to the ribbon cable.

It has metal to metal contact in 4 places and connects through pressure.

Needs to be adjusted inside. I would replace the entire cable because they are so cheap.

Hi, I was wondering if you knew where I can buy an original iPhone front camera replacement. I purchased a afeax model that advertised itself as oem but when I properly set it up it wouldn’t work with third part apps. I read through forums and found out I need an original piece but i don’t know where to buy one because most locations advertise themselves as 100% works and oem

Can any one advise me ? I have an iPhone 6s plus camera and speaker set up and I wanna know if it would work on an iPhone 7plus .

I need to replace my screen but my new screen replacement does not have the little clear plastic holder where the camera seat on .. does anybody know if the little plastic is transferible ?

It's for alignment purposes only so you don't need it if you manage to align yourself.

I started fixing my own phones i opened my iphone 7 plenty of times i broke the ribbon cable on accident because i was being lazy when i replaced my battery, and i didnt disconnect it all the way when i fixed it i turned on my camera it flashes purple and glitches what did i do?

This part is so complicated ive disassembled all of that but im scared to re assemble and mess up , could i just close the phone without doing that part as i only need the phone to listen to music on it and apps , i dont really need it for personal use to talk , or take pics ?

This is a trivial question. Can I use the iphone 6 front camera to my iphone 7 camera? Or Use my iphone 7 camera to my iphone 8? Or they just have different sensor and cannot be used with another model of iphone?

I'm guessing apple wouldn't want consumer to do that so maybe they always tweak the hardware to not fit into other generation of iphones.

Does this part have the microphone as well? Because my iPhone 7 Plus front microphone doesn’t work and Apple is charging over 200 to replace the whole screen, I just want to know if replacing this part it would fix this problem, thanks

That cable has proximity sensor, front cam, ambient sensor and front mic and speaker on it. So yes, it will fix it.

So I fixed my camera I think but then when I connected the screen back on it sparked and started singing the plastic letting of smoke... the screen doesnt work but the touch does which is wonderfull 😁😁😁 any ideas what happened. Im thinking maybe the phone got turned on during reassembly...

Yes it's because the speaker is not aligned properly, it has small metal power pads that must be aligned with the cable you replaced. Just open it and reseat everything, try to alight everything perfectly.

Reopen the iphone, make sure the home button is connected and aligned properly.

@@GRIBSOFT yeah, I'm having the same issue. Takes forever to turn on once reconnected. Then once it's on, the home button shows up as the movable home button on the screen. The speakers stop working, front camera doesn't work, can't even mess with the volume. It's like if the iphone is not recognizing the new flex cable. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Reseat it, see if it makes a difference, otherwise you might have gotten a bad one. Might need to order a new one.

Ripped my old cable...haven’t got a new one yet..but Touch ID has stopped working as a result of the broken cable

Shaya Daphne I actually damaged the Touch ID and 3D Touch cable while putting the screen back...so I believe this can also be another reason your home button might not be working...the only way to get this fixed is to replaced the entire screen as the damaged component is attached to the lcd...you should still try replacing the front camera flex cable
