Isma Amsi in some cases you don't need to make the jumper. We do it so that the customer doesn't come back at all. The wire that I use is a 0.06mm wire. Also that is a signature fault, so again, even if it's not needed we will still make the jumper to avoid the customer coming back.

I didn't get any iPhones with this issue yet, but as far as i know the fingerprint doesn't go after a software update.

I use flux remover and contact cleaner. 365 celsius with 100 air on quick 861da.

The M1 jumper repairs a fault line. So it prevents the phone coming back for warranty repair.

During 10 years of maintenance I did not see clean work like this

ChEcK_!NTM this is a signature fault. We do the jumpers even if they are not necessarily needed on the the day, just to make sure that the phone doesn’t return.

ChEcK_!NTM no online course can teach you hands on repair unfortunately. If you can’t visit a technician that you can pay to teach you this sort of stuff i’m afraid you’ll just need to do a lot of practice.

Great video, nice clean tidy job and having the preventive jumper is nice. Just wondering though, I have a new board coming for my partner's 6 plus, is there any preventive measures I could take so that the ic wouldn't break in the first place, some people are packing stuff on the chip for a quick fix, thinking I should maybe do the same thing just to prevent it. Seeing as it's rather common . Maybe a couple of layers of kapton tape on some of the chips. Before I release it to clumsy iPhone wanker 😂

Replaced. But you can use the old one if it didn't get damaged when removing it. You can reball the old one and use it.

Same as the baseband video, even if the jumpers are not needed at the time of the repair we still run them to avoid warranty returns and having to work twice.

Quick 861DA, 365 with 100 air. No issues with RAM or CPU. Done hundreds at this stage using the same temps.

M1 jumper is to prevent warranty returns. You do it even if the pad is there. Otherwise you risk doing the same job twice.
