This is literally the best argument for “buy a 13 and wait to see if the 17s are worth the upgrade”

Those with iphone 13 would say 13 is better, those with iPhone 14 would say 14 is better, and those with iPhone 15 would say 15 is better 😂

You always make incredible camera comparison videos. I was hoping you'd also have 15 vs 15pro, especially highlighting 2x, 3x, and 5x zoom comparisons. Being able to shoot in 24 and 48mp, this allows the 15 to get a 12mp 2x zoom. Would be interesting to see that compared to the 15pro 12mp 2x zoom, and the 3x 15 zoom against the 15pro 3x telephoto lens. It would be interesting to see the quality difference between a 12mp digitally zoomed 3x of the 15 vs 12mp telephoto of the 15pro. The main sensor of the 15 lens is much better than the telephoto- but I'm not sure which would look better at 3x.

Great video and very helpful.. We got the iphone 14 plus but its post processing sucks and it always ruins the people photos to an extent that this phone is a waste for us now..not able to find any solution on how to turn the auto processing off..

I still can't decide between the 13 mini and the regular 15. The camera of the 15 is better, but the dimensions of the 13 mini are exactly what I wanted 😣

Try out the 15 in one of the stores. It’s not that big. 13 mini is perfect size but the battery is a big compromise, so unless you really need a small phone, maybe avoid the 13 mini.

I think you will really like the 15 if you upgrade. Not only the photos and videos will be great but you will also feel the phone to be overall much faster and the battery backup will put a smile on your face.

Im planning to get the ip15. Hoe durable is it? I dont see a lot of videos doing the drop test. I drop my phone a ton times.

iPhone 13 colors are the best between them..they are very pleasing

the colors are best in 14 and close to natural, I phone 15 has yellowish warm tone 15 also over pushes highlights and shadows making images flat with les dynamics

Thank you for the informative, well produced comparison, but I disagree with the conclusion; the results from the iPhone 13 show that there's very little to be gained by getting the iPhone 15 (unless you really want a USB-C, that is, which is outside the scope of this video). But in terms of camera quality, most, if not all, of the iPhone 15 improvements would be noticeable (only just) in light condition and/or magnifications that are irrelevant to the way most people use their photos. To put things in perspective, in order to notice the slight difference in sharpness you get at 100% magnification with the iPhone 15, you need to print the image at a size large enough to hang on the wall. Same with the slight improvement in noise handling. The way the vast majority of people consume images/videos these days, which is basically on digital devices/social media, those differences are immaterial. I'd keep the iPhone 13 until Apple makes a more tangible improvement in the image quality its cameras are producing.

It didn't make me look dark, that's the actual colour of my skin, while the other 2 are trying to lift the shadows a bit on the face in the hopes of making the face look a shade or so brighter.

What's funny is that iphone 13 was called to have natural colours, then iphone 14 and now 15. But side by side, one can see they're quite different. Pixel generally maintains that consistency somehow.

I am almost sure that Apple makes subtle changes to the image processing on previous years iPhones as new ones arrive. They don't ruin the overall image quality as some other manufacturers, but some subtle changes to the way they capture colours and skin tones. S you would imagine, I have years and years worth of images from all iPhones and I surely see better skin tones from iPhone 14 about 5-6 months back, than now. Same with 13, 12 and so on. Obviously difficult to prove as there are many variables that come into play as a phone gets older. All that being said, I think older gen iPhones still take some amazing images, and with a bit of editing their images can match the colours in the ones of latest iPhones. Can't say the same about details though, newer ones are definitely much better with details and faster at processing huge images.

Honestly this depends on ur budget. While I feel that iPhone 15 offers some really good camera improvements and rest of the phone is worth it as well, but if ur button is on the lower side then 13 is a very good option as well. If you can spend the extra amount then get 15 and be worry free for next 4+ years.

I don't think you need to upgrade as you just got your 13. Use it for a year or 2 and then maybe think of upgrading to the iPhone 16 or 17 (ideally).

Just bought an Iphone 13 and I was surprised that the selfie pics on lowlight are quite soft, like some watercolor smear.

Most phones have same results in lower light. You can have the night mode or the flash turned on for selfies, but you will have to be very steady for 2 sends while that selfie is captures. But the results are much sharper than normal low light selfies.

Depends on how long you plan on using it. For another 1-2 years 13 will be good. If you want to use the phone for 3+ years then go for 14.

I have an iPhone 13 and Google pixel. The iPhone 13 takes great photos. Subjectively, I prefer my iPhone photos to my pixel photos . The pixel photos can look a bit flat ( albeit both are great devices )

It rained on and off in Pune for the next 4 days and was overcast for another 2-3 days after that. About the same in Mumbai. Plus I got to capture and show some new moments in the video, I would say that’s totally worth it (for me). It’s totally alright if you don’t appreciate the efforts to get some good images, I’m aware that it’s not that important for everyone✌️

Do you really need that much storage? 512GB on a phone? I would say consider going with 256GB iPhone 14 or the 128GB iPhone 15 in Jan Republic Day sale when its prices come down by about 8-10K. Or maybe consider 256GB iPhone 15 when the prices come down in Jan.

It really depends on how much you use your phone and how many apps you have. 128gb is enough for me as I take the backup of all my images and videos once every 4 to 6 months. Check your current phones storage, you get a good idea of how much storage you need from that. If it's almost full, you might need a phone with higher capacity.

Is the iphone 14 plus worth 75k or buying 15 plus at 90k ?

While the 15 Plus is an amazing phone, I think 90K is a bit too much price for it. If you are not in a hurry, maybe wait 2-3 months and get it for 80-82k in the Republic Day sale. Or if you need a phone right now, you can go with the 14 Plus for 71K.

Depends on the price. If you are getting the 14 Pro at a price very near to 15, then go for 14 Pro. But if price gap is big, go for 15, you won't be missing on a lot.

If I were you, I would definitely go with brand new 15 (even if its little more expensive). I don’t know how the person has used his phone or the real reason for selling (as selling for much lower than market value). I would just feel more comfortable with a newer phone as it also comes with brand warranty. Other than Pro motion and 3rd camera, 14 Pro is not that much better than the 15 (which feels much better in hand and is much lighter too).

14 is very good for videos so go ahead with it. Just make sure to have a lot of lights whenever ur shooting videos with any smartphone, that makes the videos look a lot better.

90% of the people using the 13 shouldn’t upgrade (just for the cameras).

the best advice I've ever read was to turn of the "Prioritize faster shooting" toggle in the camera settings. I have an iphone 13 and it improved the picture quality a lot.

iPhone 13 makes no sense, there is just a 1k difference between its price and iPhone 14 on Flipkart today. I would say go with 15 (it is worth it), but If you don’t want to spend that much then go with 14.
