Love this video. Honest. Not an upgrade if you rocking a 13 or 14 was all I needed to hear.

Love how you address iphone 11 users and under right off the bat because the iPhone really hasn't changed at all since the 11. At this points its an upgrade every 3 years or so kind of thing or even longer as new changes become more and more scarce beyond the chip.

Why does the 14 camera look better here? Interesting. I'm upgrading from an X lol I used to be a die hard upgrade often iPhone person but as I've gotten older I don't care like I used to.

You can connect devices to the regular iPhone 15. As today, I’ve connect a NVMe drive, external monitor and external speakers.

Apple will definitely bring high refresh rate to the regular iPhone in no more than 3 years, 90hz or even 120hz, calling it something like "Dynamic Display". They will do it, I am 100% confident.

Majority of users will have older versions of the Iphone and want to know if this generation will feel like a welcomed upgrade against there old one. I have been using the Iphone12 and considering getting a new one and this video answered all the important questions! Cheers

It looks as if iphone 15 pro models are also fixed the refresh rate at 80hz which is not expected, so I think out of all new iPhone 15 lineup 15 plus is the best option, it doesn't have that much overheating and since A16 is already optimized why would we get ourselves into trouble with A17 pro which is not really optimized for now

the a15 chip had alot of stuttering issues for me especially scrolling in the instagram explore tab. the a16 chip in the iphone 15 i bought fixed those stuttering issues thank god. theres no more random stutter changing a song on apple music or switching apps

Your device was probably faulty

Still rocking the IPhone 12 Pro Max. Thing has been so durable until recently it finally gave in I dropped it off my fridge about 7 feet and the entire back got cracked. The screen is still good tho. The battery on this thing is still going strong. Hopefully I can wait a full year till a high refresh screen comes out.

Thanks for reviewing the regular 15 and I think your right the video looked better on the 14 . I'll be keeping my iPhone 13 mini another year as it's running great on IOS17 and I love the size .

@@FATHOLLYWOODB123 yeah thanks but I have no problem with the battery life on my 13 mini hi don’t I don’t watch videos all day or I’m not doing social media all day or that kind of thing I use it as a phone and so you know texting phone calls returning emails and podcast music Google for Maps. I don’t use it like a mini media device and so when I get home, I just use my iPad so I never have a problem with my battery on my 13 mini anyway all the best.

I have the 12 mini and the battery is kinda crapping out now but I don't want a large phone. Hope Apple releases a smaller phone in the size of an a full screen SE or something, even if it just has one camera module in the back

I upgraded to a 15 from a mini and the difference is large! Much better battery life y and speakers and a nice larger size!

Soo I upgraded from a 7 plus to a 14 and I'm a bit scared about the battery life, honestly I had a limited budget and didn't want to spend more than 890 dollars on a phone (because that's the price aproximatively in my country of an iph 14) , and I didn't like the colors and the silent button on the 15 and same with the usb c because I already have lightning cables. Now I'm contemplating a bit about keeping it or not, I will see these days how the battery perform

@@abhishekjb1273Sorry to jump in, but to let you know, we need to do some settings in order to get a decent battery back up out of 14. 1) Disable background app refresh for unnecessary apps 2) Disable location settings manually for each option inside location settings 3) Disable raise to wakeup as it uses a sensor which takes up a lot of battery. We can tap and turn on the display light 4) Disable auto-brightness 5) Disable unnecessary notifications I did these changes on my iPhone 14 and could see a massive difference. Hope this helps

Matthew you can connect devices to it. I've connected a USB Type C pen drive with 256GB and transfer files to and from my iPhone 15. In addition to this my USB type C to 3.5mm headphone adapter also works.

The iPhone 15 was cheaper to upgrade to than any of the 14 models. So, I went for it. Haven’t regretted it. Great battery life and it feels very smooth. Don’t care for higher refresh rates and the camera upgrade, coming from an iPhone 12, is nice

the dynamic island would be less annoying if it was in the same position as the notch and right at the edge of the screen because it cuts off what you're viewing but then has the rest above it

yeah this is why im getting the 14 instead of the 15. I'm coming from a 12 mini so the notch size of the 14 will be more than enough to satisfy me. The dynamic island just feels like a placeholder for apple to implement a new biometric. It has cool animations but as an adult, its not worth spending an extra $100 plus tax out of my pocket for a little gimmick.

@@RandomGuy..192 can’t tell a pixel, oppo, or Samsung phone apart from the front anymore, they all have hole punch. At least Apple is going against the grain and doing something different. Even integrating some apps into it.

@@RandomGuy..192 you have to remember it’s not android with a notch or android with a pill, it’s iOS so they’ve implemented the notch and pill cutouts in every aspect of their software. It’s on every current iPhone so why wouldn’t they, right?

For the camera bump, iPhone 14 and 15 have a slightly bigger camera bump compared to the iPhone 13, except for the camera the iPhone 14 case will fit the 13, I’ll check out with the 15.

My dad is looking at replacing his iPhone 11, I’m looking for the comparison between the two and anything wrong with either of them.

My last Iphone was the 3G, after that became an Android user experimenting with different brands such as Motorola, HTC and Asus and now back to Iphone 14....So far not to thrilled with IOS but have to say it was a long time using Android so I need more time. Apple is best at marketing cause every teenager out there want one, as far as the phones performance goes other brands can do the same or even more at better prices.

It's quite sad that battery health is the difference between the 11 and the 15. Not much else is an upgrade

Currently watching this on my baseline iPhone 13 (256gb) blue variant. And I'll be waiting for the iPhone 17 series before upgrading😇 I could've waited for the iPhone 15 series and just stayed with my iPhone 6 plus. But unfortunately I got the iPhone 13 because I could not stand my iPhone 6 plus shutting down constantly due to my battery health being 20%. Will be getting my money's worth on this iPhone 13.

Excellent review. Now I have to decide between the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus. The 15 Pro and Pro Max sound nice, but not really what I need. This video was extremely helpful. Thank you.

I've a OnePlus 8t and here in India the difference is around 120 usd, should I buy the 15 or save some money and go for the 14?

As far as the iPhone 15 overheating issue, any software fix to overcome a Hardware issue is a sham. You’ll be neutering the iPhone by reducing the efficiency of the cpu and battery your reasons for buying it in the first place.

You are right, I have 13 and couldn't find anything worth upgrading to the 15 for.

I just wish the they had a better colour choice also is it only the 14 and 15 for bill pay? As in you can’t get the pros right

Some people don't want a larger phone. The iPhone 15 is already bulky enough in my pants pocket; the Plus model would aggravate the situation. And I don't have large hands. As a long-time OnePlus One user, I've never had an issue with 60Hz refresh. I'm missing nothing by going with the iPhone 15.

I'm rocking an iPhone 8 and since then, I've been hesitant in upgrading. In 2 years the price drops to 50% and battery life will be completely annoying. What's the point in investing so much in this gadget so very often!?

@@CarbonRick_ iPhone 15 normal version. There's things I love and don't love. I do not love it more than Android but I don't regret my purchase. The phone doesn't charge in 30 minutes like my Samsung could, there's a lot of features missing but that's okay I'm not using it that much anyway. But for hardware, camera and health apps it works much better. You give some you take some. I do not think I will be using my iPhone in 2 years because Android is simply much better, but it's nice to try something else for once.

I am currently with an iPhone 7+, I now have enough money for both phones and I am quite disappointed with the new 15. The new Dynamic Island is spectacular but what really annoyed me was the pastel colours and not even an option for white. I reckon the 14 because of the colour, Cheaper and same display, And has an amazing camera.

I totally feel you, I wanna transition from the iPhone 8 now to a newer model and I would like to have a white one again. I don't wanna go with the Pro version and I don't like the pastel colors or black. But I would also like to have the best camera - I think the 14 might be a good compromise, yet it would still be a compromise. Maybe I should wait for the 16 haha

listen bro i was about to do the same thing, but recent news has come out that apple has cancelled the SE 2024 and will be pushing its release back to 2025. and my 12 mini has a broken lightning port, broken face id, and terrible battery life, so waiting for March 2025 simply isn't an option. I was gonna get the 13 for $629 unlocked but i might just spend the extra $100 on the 14 for the better ram, i feel like that will future proof it well.

Im wanting to go from android to apple this time around, and its a fairly hard decision. The 15 is practically identical to the 14 in that daily driver sense, but the ucb c is a factor which is hard to come over. As I only have USB c cables. This is 100% taking a lot more thinking that what is should be.

I still have my red Iphone 8 plus, I'm planning to upgrade to the new generation. With all the bad news about the Iphone 15, I'll go for the 14.

I had this random thought about the 14 Pros' displays being used here on the 15s, where Apple might have actually used the very same displays that they had manufactured for the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. In that case, Pro motion and AOD should theoretically be possible through a software update on the 15s. Also, their website shows shared details about the 15 & 15 Pros where the screen sizes, Dynamic Island and the Super Retina XDR displays are common, just that PM & AOD aren't. If they are truly LTPO like on last year's Pros, then maybe a software update for those features could be possible?

@@akhilalexg The only reason AOD is on iPhone is because of the LTPO. Before LTPO was used, Android manufacturers used AOD with a static refresh rate (which drained battery) and it didn’t really help that the screen was mostly black. Apple added AOD only when, LTPO was used in the 14 Pros. You can’t just say LTPO technology doesn’t matter.

I am thinking of upgrading from my 11 Pro, I am still very undecided though

i really wish more reviews would encourage people to replace their batteries more often, it is cheap and will make your phone last for many more years

The iPhone 15 just came out it’s completely terrible compared to the iPhone 14 pro if your able to wait a couple months you should see that 799 price drop some by a hundred if not more. Or buy it used if you don’t want to pay that much. Just don’t upgrade to the iPhone 15 ever! iPhone 14 pro is a good phone & it’s the best Apple has managed to do so far. If I ever buy a new phone it’ll be an android. So yes the iPhone 14 pro is worth it but dropping 800 on something that’s just going to drop in price soon isn’t the best idea but if your phone is dying and you can’t wait go ahead!

I haven't used the iPhone 14, and I'm switching from the iPhone 7. Therefore, I was only curious as to whether the iPhone 15 gets hot while performing typical daily duties (apart from gaming).

if you haven't gotten one yet, I suggest the 14, I got mine for £471 (128gb) and saved £145 from 15.

I loved my iPhone 11 curved edges but it was slipping out of my hands at times, just got my iPhone 14!! (just wish it was a little bigger) as I use it as a gps at times

Coming from someone who also had a 12 mini, the 15's your best bet. Really loving my 15 so far! Yeah, I do miss the nice small one-handed compact form factor, but the upgrades, especially battery life, are quite a welcoming change! 😁

I have the iPhone XS Max! Looking for a much needed upgrade… My sister insists I should get the 13? But I’m not quite sure. I wait years before upgrading usually. Would the 14 or 15 be a better choice? I’m just afraid of the overheating and such

If the iphone 14 is damn near the same as the 15, then the 14 pro is definitely the better buy over the base 15 lol

This my first iohone and n i think im going with the iphone15 pro max I want 2 of them the blue n green...i choose 15 because it seems to me 15 takes better pics n better colors...14 does has better video images tho
