Yup! Even after the vivid update, my S22 Ultra has more pop than the S24. That being said, the flat-screen is well worth the upgrade. Also, the Anti-glare has made it difficult to grab a screen protector. I'm not willing to lose anti-glare for extra protection.

Bruh I got I think a Holly or volly glass screen protector off of amazon an I have no glare really I see tha phone perfectly in sunlight

I guess we are lucky here in Dallas TX because we have a Samsung store in Frisco so we can just drive over to the Samsung store to do our trade in s so we don't have to wait for the mail

@@Louis-kg7qo I’m only confirming it because I read somewhere that there are apps that can’t be install in Samsung. Also, yes, you can install it all, but it doesn’t mean you can use it. For example, I have an IPhone 7s and I can’t use Charles Schwab and UBER apps because it’s now requires a higher IOS. I’m sue some apps will follow on the upgrades.

I actually had an S23 ultra and never had an iPhone prior to my 15 pro max. Now I have that, AirPods Pro, M2 MacBook Pro and an Apple Watch ⌚️ Ultra and I completely understand why people love Apple products so much. Everything just works and prior to my 15 pro Max purchase the last apple 🍎 product I owned was an iPod shuffle. Yes I’m that old lol. I used to think apple folks were sheep. I was wrong lol 🤷🏾.

That trend is the same for every feature except for the actual screen, cameras, messaging apps and the keyboard. All the other features are never used by all the people all the time. This applies to all devices. Some features are for a specific audience (pen, dex) while others are for specific demographics. Most people however expect to have everything available for whenever they may need it.

I've owned both, and there is really no comparison. The S24 Ultra is LEAGUES ahead of the IPhone 15 PRO MAX. After using the S24U, going back to iPhone 15PM, and moreso the iOS UI, feels like you stepped back in time 5 years. Apple has been slacking, solely resting on the hype of their brand, the restrictive ecosystem, and iMessage bubble peer pressure. Needless to say, I got rid of the iPhone and kept the Sammy.

I think the s24+ is the best Galaxy phone for the price to performance ratio but it is shame they didn't upgrade the camera hardware on it even slightly

Paid $170 for S24 256GB during pre-order with S23 trade in and some additional discounts. Also got battery pack, charging brick and samsung tracker for free😁 can't beat all that

For me, I use the S-pen for PDF documents on the go. So much so that my desktop is just sitting there next to my DVD player collecting dust. Now that the screen is completely flat, I can do everything, including taxes with no issues. The only thing missing is an IR blaster and faster charging. I think 2025 and beyond, if a smartphone isnt capable of 100watt charging, should lose their "flagship" status. Competition is stiff out there. I think its time for everyone to step up.

The S pen is very important when you need it. For example, I've easily created accurate markings on the screen shot and attach to my work email. I use it for signing documents and filling in forms. I didn't need to print and fill in with pen, scan and email back. Also, you can accurately erase what you wrote on the PDF forms. Also, for picture editing. Using a hand is not as accurate and fast as S pen. Your hand and finger are thicker to allow sight on small objects on the phone while editing something. With the S pen you have that advantage of editing while you see clearly where your line goes for example. There's more.

18:14 You can turn the post processing to medim or off entirely in the camera settings of the S24. I agree that 'out the box', on the max setting, the images look over processed. I use the medum setting, which seems to do a nice job and whilst retaing a more natural look.

For me, there is a clear difference between Max and Medium settings, with significantly less sharpening, contrast and saturation. On the Max setting, you can actually see the processing getting applied if you go to the gallery fast enough, which on the medium settings you don't see. (I have a background in photography, but I'd say it's pretty obvious switching from one to the other). I took back to back shots, changing the settings, reviewing the shots and the difference was very apparent. IMO, Medium gives much more natural shots, that don't at all look out of place next to images from my Sony mirrorless camera.

Still could not get a decent picture of moving subject (kid, pet...), no matter what the settings were - except in direct sunlight (even indoors with great light) - pictures end up unusable. Yeah, you can get some great shots (can't really be predicted), but in average, most of them end up deleted right away. Switched to Iphone, no problems at all.

@@snoweh1 tried it on every Samsung I used in past, sometimes it works (and it has better results then native camera app, which should not be acceptable at this price range), sometimes it does not, it depends. Installing third party apps/ports to get decent camera results, on premium device, is pure insult to customers. At least that's how I see it. They had enough time to fix basic things, like shutter lag, competition did it years ago. It's the same problems year after year

It's not a noticeable issue. I have an S24 Ultra and have had it since April and either don't have that issue or it's not there enough for me to notice it because I've never noticed it.

Samsung is very fast, but not as fluid as the iPhone. But the level of customization and possibilities Samsung (or any Android phone) gives you is simply unmatched by any iPhone. The iPhone is fluid and stays fast for a long time, but iOS is very basic.

Go to Developer Option, hit 7 times and slow down the animation. You'll see it turns "buttery smooth" like the IPhone. Similar anyway.

When u do a mid 2024 review I don think price should be a point u discuss...focus on how your impression had lasted and which one do you think worth for the price u paid

Actually if you trade in your phone via a carrier like at&t they will actually give you $1000 for like 5 year old devices, only downside is a 3 year installation plan but essentially you would just be paying for the phones line for 3 years and keeping the phone. att gave me $1000 for my 11 pro max for the 15pm so all I had to do is pay the $350 remaining in 3 years about $10 per month for the device + my phone line

It’s kind of a shame how the battery life in the s24 Ultra has deteriorated by software updates. The battery was phenomenal when I first got it but doesn’t last as long as it used to. Samsung really messed up with the battery life 🤦🏽‍♂️.

They both great phones. Ive been with samsung since s8. Last iphone i had was the iPhone 6 and i remember when that was considered a big screen. Ive had s8, s10plus, s21plus, s23ultra. I might get an iPhone next because i am interested to see how it is. Iphones seem very smooth and they always seem trendy. Samsung use to have all the advantages like super nice screen and fast charging but now they both seem like such similar phones. Samsung is being very iphone these days and just makes me think oh maybe i should just use a iphone for couple of years. The dynamic island seems very big but some how apple has made it cool

The thing that’s nice about Samsung is that after a few months or so after releasing, they’ll go down in price $200.00 or so on Amazon. You’ll never get that kind of discount with an Apple product.

As an ex Samsung user (7 years of using their flagships only), who switched to Iphone, I can for sure say Samsung has a LOT of work to do when it comes to software, especially camera software (not that there aren't other problems present, like weak vibration and hollow sound from speakers). Yeah, One UI has a lot of features and "features" (that most of the users will try once, twice or never), but I kinda prefer simplicity and reliability. The only thing I miss is split screen feature and when it comes to the rest - my only regret is not switching earlier and trusting Samsungs "we'll fix it with updates" lies.

You can remove the icons so it won't be cluttered. It's been like that forever SMH

Using Iphone right now, and I pick up the wrong phone. I would choose the Samsung.

Apple needs to improve their heat management, seriously. After a few minutes in direct sunlight, it gets so warm or hot, that the screen literally just fades away. This is totally unacceptable for a $1200.00 device, $1318.30 after taxes.

Well nick iPhone trade in value doesn't matter in my region because we don't have any apple store here in the country.we officially have Samsung Galaxy store in our country and Xiaomi stores.But zero apple and also apple value is very de stabilized due to zero check ✔️ and balance on the iPhone related to it's price when it launch globally the prices too high here and after few months the prices are too low compared to Early orders price difference is like 1100$ loss after few months and when it launch the pricing here is like 2200$

After a little over of loving Samsung I decided to go back to Apple (15pro). I’ve always thought Samsung had the edge but my last two the lenses started to malfunction. I’ve had the IPhone 15 max since April my choice was still let based on the camera. I love it! But, prefer android for user experience.

I have to wait till Christmas this year to get a Samsung phone. Hopefully I can get the S24 plus or the S24 Ultra if not Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 along with Samsung watch 7 series

I have the S24 Ultra, but there are a lot of bugs, to be honest. In a week, I restarted my phone multiple times because of the bugs.

Iphone is just more consistent and better optimized than android.

To be honest apple isn't willing to bring something like Dex to their phones anytime soon
